yours truly cannot put on an even basis with the NEL by any means, will have Boston at Oakland. Kansas City at Buffalo, Denvei at New York and Houston at San Diego. AS FAR AS PREDICTING the outcome of the season, we again will go out on a limb and get the old saw going rapidly behind us. In the Western Division, one could just about toss a coin among four teams -for the first four spots in our book. We will go along with Green Bay even though some little voice keeps saying no. A tie for second between DetHMt and Baltimore with the Bears just an edge behind, may surprise quite a few, but that is the order of the first four. Then we pick Los Angeles. Minnesota and San Francisco in that order. IN THE EASTERN DIVISION, we ar*- not going to listen to the mouth of Otto Graham who. after uakmg fame and fortune in the NFL. has suddenly taken a liking to the AFL and also a disliking to his old team, Cleveland Maybe Graham thinks that Jimmy Brown is taking away the memories of fearless Otto of a few years back with his blasts, but this may have a little to do with our pick of Cleveland for the number one spot. Close behind we will select St. Louis, then New York. Pittsburgh. Dallas' Washington and Philadelphia. NOT BEING AS FAMILIAR with the AFL, but still going by past performances and names that have established themselves, we will pick San Diego in the West, followed by Kansas City. Oakland ami Denver. In the East. Houston will be our pi< k to bounce up to the top over Boston. Buffalo and New York. IN OUR AREA. EVERYONE is anxious to sec what will hap-ix-n at Notre Dame. The Irish may be able to bounce back under their new coaching staff this year to a record of half and half or better Tin* job that faces Parseghian seems to be to make them hungry again at Notre Dame It is our belief that he is spending a lot of effort to impress the mental aspect of winning m their minds again THE IRISH OPEN AGAINST Wisconsin on the 26th and by that time. Wisconsin will have had a game against a lesser opponent to get some of the kinks out. Then comes the big Purdue game The Irish then travel to the Air Force Academy and host UCLA and Stanford in October Then it is Navy. Pittsburgh. Michigan State. lowa and Southern California. The schedule again has some real toughies with no breathers along the way unless

the two California teams back to back can be considered among the easier games. It will be interesting to see it the Irish ran regain that title of Football Factory in the next few years undei their fine new coach.
