Rolnut Rauen. Gene Snyder and Palmer Snyder. The school secretary for the Elementary School is again Mis. Harry Kurzhal and the principal is Gary G. Nelson. New teachers in the North Liberty High School are: Charles Johnson, graduate of Momence, Illinois High School and Butler University. He has eight years of teaching experience. He coached at Auburn High School four years. The last three years he taught at Main Jr. High in Mishawaka. His family includes two sons, ages 10 and 8. He resides in South Bend in Riverside Manor. Mr. Johnson will teach Science and Biology and serve as assistant in football and baseball. Also new to the staff this year is Stephen Freeman who will teach Vocational Agriculture and Shop. Reaches 1 Finals For State Homemaker A Walkerton woman who was nominated as a candidate to the Indiana State Homemaker of the Year contest, was selected t° participate in the finals over the week end as one of the top ten homemakers of the year. She is Mrs. Harry Malstaff who, with her husband, was a guest of the Marott Hotel, Indianapolis, over the week end. The ten finalists were interviewed personally throughout the afternoon, and were enertained in the evening with a banquet and attending the Slate Fair program to enjoy the Tennessee Ernie Ford Show. The ten women and their husbands were from all over the state, three from Southern Indiana. five from the central part and two from the northern portion of the state. She is Mi Eugene Montgomery, a mother of eight children between the ages of six and 19 years, two of which are attending Purdue Univei.-ity, and one was named Sweepstakes winner of the fair in entomology. Mrs. Montgomery was nominated from the Darden Forest Home Demonsration Club. Mrs. Malstaff was nominated from the Better Homes Demonstration Club of Walkerton.
