Mrs. Michael Nusbaum of Buffalo, New York, is visiting her mother. Mrs. Velma Stahly and other relatives and friends. Mr. Nusbavm wdl join her for the Labor Day week end. Mrs. Maud© Kellogg just returned by plane from New York, after spending almost three weeks with her son, Jack Kellogg, and his roommate, Howard Fields. While there they visited the World’s Fair and many other points of interest. She reports as having a wonderful time. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Stahly were in Kokomo where they visited Mrs. Stahly’s sister-in-law. They were also in Cicero, Ind., where they helped celebrate the 90th birthday of Mrs. Stahly’s brother-in-law. Many Walkerton people wi’l remember him as George Zerbe. who used to visit in the Stahly home so many times. Mrs. Norman Fults celebrated her birthday Tuesday evening with a family get-together in her home. A carry-m supper and birthday cake were enjoyed. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Fettel. Rev. and Mrs. Larry Whiteford and children, Doug and Judy, Mrs. Bea Sester, Mrs. Helen Joyce Vandermark. and Mr. and Mrs. James Clau-er and children. Bnan and Gary, all of South Bend; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Laidag of Miami, Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fults, of Bremen, and Richard Mauer of West Lebanon. Mr. and Mr Kenneth Wilson Were recent guests of Mr. and Mr< Ralph Wilson in Butler, Ind. Mrs. Leslie Huhnke and children returned to their home in Campbe'l. Calif*, last Saturday after a two week# visit with Mr. and Mis. Albert Huhnke Sr., and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Ben Brede had as her house guest several days last week. Capt. Geraldine Tom of El Paso. Texas, and Hawaii. Miss Tom. with the V. S. Women’s Army, is an oec national therapi t at the William Beaumont General hospital in Ei Paso. Mr. and Mrs Newton Withams entertained with a patio supper Sunday, honoring the birthday of Jack Hannagen. Other guests included: Mrs. Hannagen. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koppenhofer Sr., of Grovertown; Mr< Ben Brede and her house guests. Capt. Geraldine Tom. El Paso. Texas, and Mrs. Brede’s brother. Charles Wilkins, of Napierville, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Noble Sheatsley Jr. and family <»f Oklahoma City. Okla., stopped in Walkerton at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs Noble Sheatsley Sr., for a visit, enroute to Wa'hington. D C., where Mr. Sheatsley has been transferred by the IAA. The three boys remained for a weeks visit with their grandparents. They are now living in Annan Dale, Va. Mr. and Mrs. James Morrey and Mr. and Mrs. George Fenerda, were called to Chicago Monday by the death of Jack Morrey. who died in the South Chicago Community Hospital Sunday, following several months of illness. Funeral services were held from the Blake and Limb Chapel, i9th and Loomis Blvd., at 1 p m. Wednesday. Interment was in the Cedar Park Cem- tery The deceased was a brother of Mr Morrey and Mrs Ferverda. Diane Gjcmre returned from a week at Girl Scout Camp at Jones. Michigan. Others from Walkerton that were in the same unit were Theresa DeSimone, Lynn Stasko, Georgianna Parks and Jackie Tiede. Mis. S. Weiler and Mrs. E. Kaercher, made a three day trip to Bay City, Mich., to visit with some of their fornu r classmates. It was a reunion after 33 years for Mrs. Kaercher. Mrs. Weiler's son, Kenneth Lapan. and his wife. Marjorie, were their hosts. Bobbie and Kurtie Gore of Crete, 111., spent last week with their grandmother, Mis. Frank Dunn. Their parents. Mr. ami Mrs. Robert Goie, and sons Mike and Doug, came Sunday and the boys returned home with them. Last Wednesday evening a surprise birthday party was held in honor of Forest Stahly. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Steinke. Neda and Cinda Steinke, Barbara Steinke. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Steinke, Mrs. Martha Mull, Mr. and Mrc Cloyd Smith and Mr. and Mis. Gus Schultz. Mr. and Mrs. Robert King and sons, spent last week camping in the Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, Colo. On Sunday they entertained 21 relatives and friends honoring Alan King, who was confirmed at the rites in the Immanuel Li theran Church, near Donaldson. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Frailey. Linda and Ruth, and Mrs. Kenneth Baker of North Liberty, attended a family gathering at the home of Mrs. Frailey’s brother. Francis Rans, of Bremen. Dr. Wright is the former minister of the North Liberty Christian Church On July 1 he retired from the faculty of Northwest Christian College in Eugene where he was Professor of Bible and Hebrew. He and Mrs. Wright are making a one vear tour of the U.
