Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rauen and family were Mr. anil Mrs. Irvin Rauen of Wanatah. Tile North Liberty Class of 1917 had their reunion at North Liberty Park. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Holmes and Mr and Mrs. Roy Carbiencr. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Balsley and family returned home Sunday after a week's vacation at Winona Lake attending the Grace Brethren Church Conference. Miss Margaret Mangus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mangus, of Route 2, North Liberty, has been chosen as a represents ve from St. Joseph County to attend the State Fair School fcr Girls in Home Economics Leadership. The school will be conducted at the fair ground from August 28 thru Sept. 6. Miss Mangus Will be a junior at North Liberty high school this fall and has completed seven years of 4-H work. CELEBRATE MTU ANNIVERSARY A surprise party was given Saturday August 22 for the Hal Hevels on their tenth anniversary. There were 21 guests present. A three tiered cake decorated the table. Punch and coffee were also served. Hostesses were Mrs. Jerry Walters and Mrs. Earl Snyder.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Strope arc spending this week with their ♦laughter. Mrs. George Worthen and family at Bolivar, Tenn. Alex Hildebrand and family of Avon, Ohio, visited Mrs. Myrtle Donathen last week end. Their daughters, Linda and Kathy, stayed to spend this week with their grandmother. Jim and Karen, children of the Leland Donathens, who spent last week with tho Hildebrands, came home Saturday. Miss Wilma Kane, after spending the past five weeks at the In.me of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Kane, returned to Terra Haute with Dr. and Mrs. David Johnson who called on the* Kams Sunday. Wilma has a fellowship at Indiana State Teachers College. She graduated from the North Liberty high school in 1959. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Jones, Mrs. John Schrader, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clingenpeel anil Mr. and Mr.s. David Petzinski, attended the Wesleyan Methodist Camp meeting at Fairmount Sunday. Rev. and Mrs. Dean Kreig who attended the conference and camp meeting for two weeks, returned home Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred DeCoudres returned Friday from a two weeks trip through the east. They visited the World’s Fair, and relatives, and spent some time sightseeing in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New Hampshire. Greg Bare celebrated his 11th birthday with a party Monday. August 24th. Eleven guests were present; Ron O'Connor. Keith Shirley, Greg and Jack Gouker, Jerry Pittman. Jim Donathen, Bruce Weber. Johi Hertzfeld. Mike and Paul Hiatt and his brother. Dana Bare. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Keiser daughter Elaine and grandson, Rodney de Cortes of Santurce, Puerto Rico, were guests of honor at a dinner 4 Sunday in the Raymond Naragon home. Forty—one members of the late Frank Keiser family were present coming from New Salem. Ohio, South Bend, Nappanee, Lakeville, Mishawaka and North Manchester.
