Mrs. Mary Armstrong and Sharon are spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sims and Kay. Mrs. Fred Cullar and Mi Alto Holmes, president and vice president of the North Liberty Women's Club, attended the 13th district summer cancer meeting of the Federated Women’s Clubs held at Culve ■ Military Academy Thursday, August 6th. On Friday, August 7, Mrs. E. P. McDaniel. Mrs. Richam Hanley. Mrs. Paul Williams, Mrs. Holmes and Mis. Cullar attended the St. Joseph summer council meeting held in the Public Library, South Bend. Mrs. McDaniel, this next year of the club starting with September, will be county chairman of religion. Mrs. Hanley will be cochairman of Civil Defense. Mrs. Williams is local chairman for the selling of hand sewed articles as aprons, tablecloths, towels, etc., made by the blind of Indiana. She keeps a supply of these on hand and will be glad to sell to anyone interested in helping with this good work. The proceeds from sales is returned to the blind people who do the sewing.
