Eugene Snyder and son Stevie, ot Lis Angeles, California, return’ cd to their home after spending ten days here visiting his molhei Mrs. Charles Snyder, and other lelatives and friends. Nick Ehrhardt and Mrs. Martha Young and Alfred Huhnke of Hanna, went to Medaryville Sunday. to visit with Mrs. Youngs s ster-in-law, Esther Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Mac Young and daughter of Hobart were also guests. Edward Hahn, a winner in the Plymouth Pilot-News carrier subfaription contest, received an all expense paid trip to Riverview amusement park in Chicago last Thursday. He accompanied a group of other winners from the Plymouth area. Miss Blanche Rensberger. Santa Anna. California, a former resilient of this area, is visiting with friends and relatives. She was entertained Monday, as were Mr. and Mrs. Smyers Rensberger of Garrett. Indiana, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Skinner. Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vandall and family returned from a ten day vacation vimtng relatives in Ohio and West Virginia They visited Mr. Vandall's sister and family. Rev. and Mrs. C. L. O'Connor in Racine. Ohio, Mrs. Vandall’s "brother and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rookstool in Barberton. Ohio, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Vandall in Meadowbridge. Mrs. J. C. Cites and Mis. Genevieve Dailey, attended the Knope reunion in Hanna. Sunday. Dr. and Mrs. Bryce Rohrer, Kenny and Kathy, recently returned from a week’s vacation at Lake Wawasee Jack Morrey, brother of Mrs. George Ferverda and James Morrey. is critically ill in the South Chicago Community hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Janies Cheesebrough and sons of Hammond, spent several days visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Mayotte Arseneau. Mearl May. who has been living with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoner, left Saturday for Tampa. Florida, where he will be employed with J. O. Ash Company. Mr. and Mrs. Dillon Baugher of Larned, Kansas, left Tuesday for their home after spending several days visiting his brother and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dillon Baugher. Their son. John, who had been visiting the Baughers, returned home with them. Mrs. Alice Barney spent last week visiting in Indianapolis with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Valentine. David Cros sley, who had been visiting his grandmother Crossley in Hudson, lowa for several weeks, came by plane to Indianapolis Sunday to join the Valentines and Mrs. Barney for the week. On Tuesday, Mrs. Valentine and daughter. Nor. ma, Mrs. Barney and David, attended a recital by Betty Crossley at Indiana University. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holland of South Bend, joined them the past week end. and on Saturday, the Hollands, Mrs. Barney. Mrs. Crossley and Norma, attended the opera "Turnadot" at the Indiana University Stadium in Bloomington. Mrs. Barney returned home Sunday. accomnanied for a visit by David Crossley.

Mrs. Frank Dunn spent several days last week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dunn at Martinsburg, West Virginia. Airs. J. D. Knapp and sons, Rick and David, of Denver. Colorado, are here visiting Mrs. Knapp's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. David Frame. Miss Harriet Mechling returned home from a ten day vacation at Gore Bay, Ontario, Canada, as guest of her school roommate and family. Mr. ad mis. Charles Haberman of Valparaiso and their houseguests, Ralph and Nelson King of Wendell, Idaho, visited Mrs. J. C. Cites and Mrs. Genevieve Dailey Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. John Newland attended the wedding of a cousin. Lucy Kemper, at Eaton Rapid, Michigan, over the week end. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bailes. Mrs. RiHa Eberhart and daughter, Vera, of South Bend, Mrs. Charles Van Winkle and Mrs. Mabel Worster of North Liberty, were Friday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gorsline. They also called on Mrs. Iva Freeman. Pfc. Harold Brown and Emma Mae Creech were married Wednesday, August 5, in Chicago. They will reside in Fort Benning, Georgia, where Mr. Brown is stationed with the Armed Forces. He is the grandson of Mrs. Lois Deßruler. Mrs. M. B. -Slick had as her guests Sunday E. Paul Slick and family of Ft. Wayne. The family will leave Fort Wayne to make their home in San Diego, Calif., where Paul has accepted a position in General Dynamics Laboratory. The 10th annual Scarbrough reunion was held Sunday at Knox Wythogen Park. The oldest preset was Edward Scarbrough, 84, and the youngest, Mary Jane LaBere one year. Present from Walkerton were Mr. and Mrs. John Anspaugh, Mrs. Norma Singleton and sons. Mrs. Thomas Anspaugh and son, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Watkins, Mr. and Mrs. Pete O’Dell and sons. Slick attended the funeral of Walter Wenger, husband of Mrs. Nora Beall Wenger, in LaPorte last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Klinedinst entertained at a belated birthday dinner Sunday for their son, Kenneth. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Klinedinst and Sherry Lynn, of North Liberty; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Ream and family of Walkerton, and Mary Moore of Denver, Ind.
