IOOF and Rebekah Picnic Sunday The Walkerton Oddfellows Lodge No. 437, and Evening Star Rebekah Lodge No. 465, will hold their annual picnic at the home of Mr. and Mrs, William DePoy, Box 254 South Lake Drive, on the southeast side of Koontz Lake, on Sunday, August 16th. We hope that all members will try to attend. There will be games and prizes for all. North Liberty Rainbow News The North Liberty Rainbow Girls are having a dance Friday, August 14, at the new Masonic building. The time will be from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. The band will be the “Mustangs” from Walkerton. Donation will be 50c per person, ICE CREAM SOCIAL Ice Cream Social at St John’s Lutheran Church, comer of Riley and Pine Roads, Saturday, Aug. 15, 5:30 p.m. until ?, Ice cream, peaches and cake. Free will offering. Sponsored by L.C.M, EXTRA GARDEN FOOD STILL WANTED FOR CHILDREN’S CAMP The Crippled Children’s Camp at Myers Lake will still have need for fresh garden food for another week. The many bushels of goods taken over by the Walkerton Lions dub has been very welcome and appreciated. The response of the people has been fine. If you have any extra fresh food from your garden, simply call the FFA boys, Denslow Doll or Harry Mechling for pickup. It will be delivered Saturday. FISH FRY AUGUST 21 The fifth annual Tyner IOOF Lodge Fish Fry will be held Friday, August 21, 1964, in the Tyner High School Cafeteria from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Donations are adults $1.25 and children 75c. FOOTBALL PHYSICALS Football physicals will be given Friday, August 14. at 5:15. at the Walkerton Medical Clinic. All boys who have not picked up equipment and would like to play football, stop at the school and do so now.
