Walkerton Edward O'Connell, of Chicago, was a week end guest of Mrs. Ben Brede. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Keek took their daughter, Linda, to Syracuse Sunday to spend the week at Smith-Walbridge, a drum major camp. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner and sons, Terry and Tim. spent last week vacationing at Niagara Falls and Cape Cod. Nick iLaFeber, Jolm Kerr, Ray Nusbaum, Bud Rizek, Ed Rhodes, Robert Powers, JoAnn Wicks, Robert Urbin and Susan Burch were in Chicago Tuesday night to see the White Sox vs Detroit game. Mrs. Adam Mann and daughter, Carolyn, attended orientation at Ball State College. Muncie, Ind., Tuesday and Wednesday. Carolyn will be a freshman there this fall. Mr. and Mrs. Burgoone Carnes of Rawleigh, North Carolina, are spending a week visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lewis and other relatives. Sunday, they were all dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Solmos and Pat. Mr. and Mi's. Dave so!mos of North {Liberty were also guests. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Cecrle returned from a six weeks visit in California, where they visited Mr. Cecrle’s twin brother, Stanley Cecrle and family, in Anaheim. While there they also visited the Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland. From there they went to Lafayette, California, and spent five weeks with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Burke. They made the trip by j-t. Mrs. George Cox of Franklin Park. 111., spent several flays last week visiting her sister and family. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Awald. Mrs Awald returned to Franklin Park with Mrs. Cox for a few days visit. She returned home Friday and brought her son. Dick Awald and Dennis Sundin, home with her to spend the week end. Dick is enrolled in a six weeks course at General Motors Institution in the Body Division at Franklin Park, this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Sheivley, nf Landisburg. Pa., have returned home after spending the week with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bolze and son, and Mrs. Florence Olson.

Other guests on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Hartman Tracy and Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Lin igreen of LaPorte. ( Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Grote returned Friday from a three weeks vacation touring the west. They spent some time in Moscow, Idaho. and Ogden, Utah, visiting relatives, and did some fishing at Yellow Stone Park. Over the week end they entertained their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradford and son Jeff, of Silver Lake, Ind. Mrs. Fold Wesolek was pleasantly sm prised Tuesday when several of her relatives and children came with a carry-in dinner to help her celebrate her birthday. Present were Mrs. Wm. Kling of Bremen; Mrs. Lillian Annis of LaPaz; Mrs. Gertrude Hampton, of Plymouth; Mrs. Loneta Bowers, of Teegarden; Mrs. Gail Whitaker and son, Kerry, Mrs. George L. Matz and daughters, Linda and Debra, and Dean and Tammy Brennan of Walkerton. Ice cream and cake were also enjoyed.
