Vadis Glab of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is spending the cummer in Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. William Zimmerman and family spent the U-eek end sightseeing in the southern part of Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Betz attended the State Rural Mail Carters Convention in South Bend Bunday thru Tuesday of this Week. Mrs. C. J. Cites and Mrs. Genevieve Dailey, were guests Friday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Henry in South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. John Wathen celebrated the third birthday of their son, Todd, Monday with a party in his honor. Guests were his grandparents and family. Mr. and Mrs. George Wathen, Bonnie, Linda and Barry, of Plymouth, Mrs. Pearl Bussard, and Mrs. Glenn Trost, Rick and Gary. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner •nd sons, Miss Susan Burch. Bob Urbin, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Urbin and Miss Joy Urbin, of Kewanna. Miss Carol Urbin of Highland Park, Michigan, and Mrs. Bertha Urbin. were Saturday evening guests of Dr. and Mrs. John Guttman and family in Wakarusa. A swimming party ia their pool and ft picnic were enjoyed.

Mrs. Qn lje Klhiedinst spent Wednesday with her cousin, Mrs. Lester Rowland, in Nappanee. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Schultz spent a couple of weeks vacationing at Goose I^ake, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Noble Sheatsley returned last week from a vacation and fishing trip to Crescent Like near Rhinelander, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thornburg and daughter of Crown Point, Ind., were Sunday guests of his parents, Mr. and Mia Frank Thornburg. Mt. and Mrs. Robert Gardner and sons were Sunday guests of her brother, Vic Grieger, and family, on Christianna Lake, Edwardsburg, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. James Ridenour attended their class reunion in Logansport Saturday evening and spent Sunday with his parents at Bruce Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Jack B. Spencer and children of Culver, and Mrs. J. F. Spencer, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Spencer in Elkhart. Mrs. Shirley Lute, wife of pfe Harold E. Lute, left June 28 by jet to join her husband for his remaining two years of service. He is now stationed in Hanau. Germany. He is the son of Mrs. Magneta Lute. । M/Sgt. Gerald Artis and family of Denver, Colo., were guests over Fathers Day week end of Mr. and Mrs. John Tuttle. Mrs. Artis is the daughter of Mr. Tuttle. Artis is a teacher at the Optical Shop at the Fitzsimmons Anny Hospital in Aurora. Colo.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Fielitz of Archbold. Ohio, were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoner and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ch^rjes Bellinger returned Saturday from a week's fishing trip at IJamlin Lake, near. Ludjijgtyn, Mich., and report catching many fish. Douglas Baker and family were in Richwood. Ohio, last week end visiting' Mrs. Baker's brother, William Marvin. Karen Gillette accompanied them. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Frailey were Mrs Francis Rans and children of Bremen, and Mrs. Kenneth Baker of North Liberty. Mrs. Richard Pierce and sons Ricky, Jim and Steve of Valdese, N. C., were Monday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Smith have sold their home in Clark’s Addition to the Carl Dills. The Smiths will make their home at 225 Carib Drive N., Merritt Island, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones and daughters returned last Wednesday from a vacation trip which took them to Mackinac Island, Canada, Wisconsin Dells and Cambridge. Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner and sons entertained at a cook out Friay evening fur Mr. and Mrs. John Wathen and Todd, and Mr. and Mi’s. Leland Frailey and Linda. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chapman and family returned home last week from a two week's vacation. They visited Mrs. Chapman’s brother. Byron Parsons, the New York World’s Fair, and spent a few days in Washington. D. C. On the way home they visited Brewn County and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weil in Evansville. Rev. and Mrs. David Filer and sons have recently returned from a camping trip to the Wisconsin Dells. To conclude the trip, they returned to Oakwood Park, I^ake Wayvagee, for a camp training session where Rev. Eller will be director for the Summer Youth Conference of the Indiana North EUB Church. Rev. and Mrs. V. L. .Garner and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Miller, recently returned from a ten day trip around Lake Michigan to Wisconsin, stopping at Thompson Lake at Rhinelander to do some fishing, and visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Hettinger and family at Hawkins, Wis.
