□—— - □ DEATHS □ □ Mrs. ’Mary E. Benjamin Mrs. Mary Etta Benjamin, 88, of 109 S. Maple St., North Liberty, died at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday in her home after an extended illness. She was born in Hudson on April 18, 1876, residing in the area for the last 60 years. As Mary Etta Crise, she was married on December 24, 1895, to Clayton Spencer Benjamin, who died in 1954. She is survived by two sons, Cecil of Spring Lake, N. J., and Herbert of Montpelier, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Morris of North Liberty; 13 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren. Friends may call until 11 a.m. Thursday at the Palmer Funeral Home. At noon the body will be taken to the Christian Church for services at 2. Rev. John H. Palmer, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. She was a charter member of the North Liberty Christian Church. Tillie Pych Majewski Tillie Pych Majewski. 67, 1007 Illinois St., Walkerton, died at 11:00 a m Tuesday, at the Holy Family hi pital," LaPorte. She was bom July 4, 1897, in Poland. She was married to Franklin Pych who preceded her in death, and was married to Felix Majewski October 10, 1936, in Chicago, who died Sept. 19, 1959. She is survived by two sons. Theodore Pych, LaPorte, and Walter Pych. Knox; two daughters. Mrs. Edward Pogodzenski. Walkerton, and Mrs. Ernest Rosenkranz. LaCrosse, Ind.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nusbaum Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited by the St. Patrick Women's Club at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am. Friday at the St.

| Patrick Church with Father Anthony Letko reciting Mass. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Mrs. Julia Flak Mrs. Julia Fink, 87, of 1015 Illinois St., died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. June 24, in the Walkerton Nursing Home. Born on July 27, 1876, in LaPorte County, she was married on Dee. 16, 1896, to Chris Fink, who died May 8, 1932. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Russell Geisler of Mishawaka; a son, Emil Fink, Mill Creek; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grand-children. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Nusbaum Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Williams, pastor of the Walkerton Methodist Church, officiated with burial in Patton cemetery, LaPorte. t Mrs. Edward Barrett Mrs. Eva J. Barrett. 68, of Rt. 3, Box 241, Koontz Lake, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, in her home, of a heart attack. She was born in Cass County on Sept. 2. 1895, residing here for the last nine years. She was married to Edward F. Barrett on June 24. 1940, in Mishawaka. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Estelle E. Etherington of North Liberty; a brother, Charles Bird of Mishawaka: two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Taylor of Logansport and Mrs. Arthur L. Coss of Koontz Lake: two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday by members of St. Patricks Rosary Society. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patricks Church with Rev. Anthony Letko officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery, Mishawaka. She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church and its Rosary Society, the Walkerton Community Club, and the Firemen’s Auxiliary at Koontz Lake. Indiana State Attracts Area Students TERRE HAUTE. Ind —Enrollment for Indiana State College’s first five-week summer session of 3,500 students is up 7.5 per cent over the corresponding session last year and will be about 3,600 when registration is completed for four workshops. Last summer, the total enrollment for the first session was 8,254 students. The first session runs through July 17. The second five-week summer session is scheduled July 20 thru August 21. Local area students enrolled for the first five-week session are: Walkerton —Ethel Bierly. Rt. 8: John W. Burris, Rt. 3: Wilma Dean Kane, Rt. 2; Fred Stump, rt. 1, Box 24. LITTLE LEAGUE BOYS TO CLEAN PARK SUNDAY All Walkerton Little League boys are asked to be at the park on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. to help clean up the park after the Fourth of July program. A good turnout will take only a short while to complete this job. People with money to bum often live to rake the ashes.
