Walkerton Mr. and Mrs. Manfjrd Freed were Sunday afternoon callers of his sister. Mrs. Dora Knowlton Janet Ryan is spending two weeks with her grand parents. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Ryan in Rockford, Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Stratford have moved into their recently purchased home at 500 Van Buren S.t, Walkerton. Mrs. Branson Hiatt. Marilyn and Bill spent last week in Hyattvdle, Wyoming, visiting her father, Cyril Widup. and her sister and family Mr. and Mrs Fred Crist. Mrs. M. B. Slick had as her Sunday guests, E. Paul Slick and daughters, Pamela and Sally of Fort Wayne. John Milo and Suzann Slick who had been visiting their grandmother for two weeks, returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Marcelein Van Wanzeele and Joe were afternoon callers of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sullivan and John near Wanatah Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Stahly and two children of Jacksonville, Florida, are here for a visit with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Stahly and Mrs. Elsie Johnson. Mr. Stahly will return home the last of June, and Mrs. Stahly and children will remain for the summer.

Mrs. Louise Krout of Chicago, returned home Sunday after a three weeks visit in the home of Mrs. Grace Atwood. Mrs. Maxine Wood spent the week end in Kokomo, visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland C mdo and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. James' Ridenour attended the wedding of First Lt. Jay Kelley to Miss Martha Long. The groom was a former associate of Mr. Ridenour. The ceremony took place in Frankfort last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Skinner entertained with a cook out Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Palmiter, South Bend; Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn Sr., and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn Jr., and family. Mr. and Mrs. Herald Hostetler and family and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barden and family.
Mark Bierly is at Fort Riley. Kansas, for six weeks training with the R.O.T.C. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson. Mrs. Anna Drake, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Price and Sharon, and Larry Ho-tetler, were guests ot Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ahderson Jr. and children. Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park and many other points of interest. They also spent several days visiting their cousin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack McEvoy in Phoenix, Arizona. Wayne Dipert left June 11 by jet plane with a group of twenty men on a People to People’s tour, sponsored by the Midwest Food Distributors. The tour includes stops at Paris, Brussels. London. Stockholm, Desseldorf. Moscow, Linengrad. Poland. Hungary, and Ea c t and West Berlin. Week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Seitz were Mr. and Mrs. Milt Brown and family of Kokomo, and Lt. Colonel and Mrs. Edwin Seitz and family >f Alexandria, Va. Lt. Col. Seitz is leaving for three years duty in Germany. Fathers Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baker and family were Mr. and Mrs. Francis Rans and family of Bremen, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Baker. North Liberty, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Frailey. Ruth and Linda, and Linda Pontius. Phillipa McEvoy of Phoenix, Arizona, spent several days this week visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Staniley Betz and family. Miss McEvoy left foi her home Wednesday morning. She accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Edward Betz, who have been vi iting here, and Mrs. Vern Betz and sons of South Bend who are moving to .Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Delaney. Mrs. Mary Delaney and Stanley Nemier of West Lafayette, were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Knowlton and daughters were Sun.lay dinner guests. Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton, Gene and Sharon, were among guests at a cook out in the home of Miss Evelyn Harrell in Plymouth.
