Mr. and Mrs. Ray Britton and family of South Bend were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Balsley and family. Mr. and Mrs. Earl R. Knight of Ashland, Oregon, are spending the summer with Mr. and Mrs. Russell O'Connor. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Gentry have been called to Lynnville, Indiana, because of the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barrett who were killed in an auto accident. Mrs. Barrett is the sister of Mr. Gentry. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Phegley of LaCrosse, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Roose of Michigan City. Mr. and Mrs. William Doan and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gordon were Sunday afternoon and evening guests of Mrs. Robert Rauen and family.

The condition of Del Pearse is slightly improved. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sims and Kay spent the week end in Lafayette. The Ida Benjamin family reunion was held last Saturday at Shen eman’s grove. Charles Hummel has returned to his home in Lafayette after spending two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. • Frank Sims and Kay. .
