N. L. Summer Recreation Frogjam Washers will be the special events tourney for this week. All who are interested be sure to sign up on the scheduled times. The ping pong tourney was delayed a day by rain; however, four of the five groups completed play. Carol Steele defeated Nancy Beckwith to become champion of the Debs tn the girls tourney, While Ramona Lushbough downed Mary Albert to take the girls’ Junior tourney. The Cadet boys tourney was won by Jim Fraser over Jerry Roush and the Midget group was taken by Dennis O’Connor over Kevin Hostetler. Mike Wesolek, Cliff Mull, John Zook and Nevin Clark survived competition in the Cub division. Many organized games such a volleyball, steal the bacon, kick ball, softball, dodgeball and four square are being played by Miss Lappin’s group. The boys and girls enjoyed tile painting last week. Walkerton Lions Chicken Bar-B-Q ' b/s Sunday The Walkc: on Lons Club annual Chicken 1 • ' me dinner will be served this Su day. June 21. at the Walkerton Youth Building. Serving time will be from 11:30 to 2:00 p m. with the menu headed by that mouth-watering freshly barbecued chicken the way the Lions have become famous for over the past few years. The public is invited to come and eat or carry-out sendee will again be available for the people. Adult dinners are $1.50 and half portions for children are 75 cents. All Lions members are asked to assist with this dinner and the jobs are waiting at the building that day. George Parks is general chairman of the event again this year. TEEN DANCE FRIDAY AT YOUTH BUILDINC. A Teen Dance will be held again this Friday at the Walkerton Youth Building with the usual procedure being followed. A 25 cent donation will be collected at the door, with dancing from 8:00 to 10:30. Go to Church Sunday.

Organizing Group To Offer Many Benefits A property owners group at Koontz Like, Indiana, has recently been organized and is now conducting a membership drive. The purposes of the association are: 1. To promote the welfare and best interest of the Koontz Lake Community, its property owners and residents. 2. To improve and maintain a satisfactory condition relative tt water sanitation. 3. Promote safety on the roads and highways adjacent to Koontl Lake and assist police authoritiieg in protection of members’ property. 4. To promote water safety and water law enforcement. 5. To aid Koontz Lake Volunteer Fire Department in providing fire protection. 6. To work with all community organizations for the purpose of improving and maintaining high community harmony.
