Miami, Fla., on May 27. Mrs. Laidig completed two years of training at Memorial School of Nursing in South Bend and moved to Florida after her marriage. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Norman ’ Fults of Walkerton. T Many good ideas are hatched, but only a few get hitched.

Tri Kappa To Initiate Two Thursday The Epsilon Chi Chapter of Tri Kappa will meet Thursday evening. June 4, at 6:15 pm. at the Methodist Church for an initiatk»n service for Mrs. Richard Masterman and Mrs. Kenneth Klinedinst The new members will be guests of honor at a dinner to be held in Heil’s Dining Room after the initiation ceremony. The committee in charge of the ceremonies will be Mrs. Je.ry Rains. Mrs. Robert Mercer and Mrs. Lloyd Thomas. Following the dinner, a business meeting will be held. New officers for the coming year will lx elected. Installation of officers will take place in September. EVENING STAR REBEKAH Evening Star Rebekah Lodge No. 465 held their regular meeting May 26. Plans are being ; made to hold inspection with the local lodge June 9th. The degree । of the onler will be conferred on four candidates. Park Organization Meeting To Be Held Tonight There will be a meeting held at the Fire Station Thursday evening at 7 p.m. for the purpose of arranging a schedule for the park use for anyone or any organization who intends to play ball under the lights this coming summer. Anyone interested in this project, should have a representative at this meeting. Red Sox To Play Two Games Sunday Night The Walkerton Red Sox open their league play in Mishawaka Thursday night and will have a double header at Walkerton on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. against Stan's Cities Service of LaPorte. In the past week, two games were lost and one won by the Red Sox as they fell to Bennett's of LaPorte at LaPorte on Friday, 6-0, as Carl McNulty shut out the Sox with four hits. Harness was the losing pitcher. Sunday a double header was split with the McKinley Merchants on the local diamond as Harness topped the Merchants in the first game 5-3 and the second game found the locals falling 8-3, DeVolder and Urbin splitting the pitching.

Girl Scout Day Camp Plans Underway Plans for Girl Scout Day Camp , are well underway with Mrs. > James Lee as Director and Mrs. , Roy DeSimone as Day Camp r chairman. Training sessions for the adult leaders have been com- । pleted. The theme for this year's program is centered around "A Day in Camp." Day camp opens June 16th at Stuntz Pine Forest. , Girl scouts who are planning to attend camp are urged to get | their registrations in Immediately to their troop leaders so that equipment and other arrangements can be completed. Adult help is needed for "set 1 up day,” June 14. Please contact Mrs. James Ix»e if you can help prepare the camp site for opening.
