Congratulations! N. L. Women’s Club Visits Home For Boys The North Liberty Women’s Club visited the Shangralea Home for delinquent boys last Friday, May 16th Thi.s home is located at Onward. Ind., which is southwest of Peru near the Bunker Hill Air Base. The courts place these boys in the home where a serious effort is made to retain their moral habits and with many, they are successful. At present their limitation. because of lack of facilities, are 16 boys between the ages of 13 and 17 inclusive. They are conBtantly asked to take more boys as the neod for as near a normal home as possible for them is great. State institutions are overcrowded and results from a delinquent boy’s atay in them are usually very unsatisfactory. They repeat offences after their sentences are served only to be sent back and eventually most of them become hardened criminals. A new $75,000 home is to lie built which will enable them to care for a much larger group. The citizens of Kokomo will fl- I nance this bui’ding in appreciation of the wonderful work the home has done for delinquent boys. The Shangralea Home has been for some time in the past a project of the Federated Women's SERVICE NOTES SAN ANTONIO. Texas - Airman Bruce G Stoner, son of Mr
