Rt. 2. and William Godfrey. Rt. 2. Named “Senior Os The Week” At I U William J Godfrey, Rt. 2. Walkerton, has been selected as "Senior of the Week ' by the Sphinx Club honorary at Indiana University. A senior management major, Godfrey is the son of Mr. and holder of the Distinguished Mrs. William F Godfrey. He is Alumni and the Erdle and Prange Scholarships, as well as a former Little 500 scholar. A former vi< e-presdent of the Student Body. Godfrey maintains a 3 1 out of a possible 4.0 aver-
age. He has been active in student government, is a member of the I.U. Foundation and the President's Student Advisory Council, and the Student-Faculty Conduct committee. He has also been president of his residence hall, campaign chairman for his campus political party, a member of the InterResidence Hall Association's President's council and a junior class officer. He plans to attend graduate school at I. U. after he receives his degree in June. Pony League To Hold Tryouts This Saturday The Walkerton Pony league will have tryouts for this year's team at Place Park on Saturday morning at 9:00 pm. All boys 13 and 14 years of age from Walkerton. Teegarden. Tyner. and Koontz Dake are welcome to participate. Also welcome would be donations from anyone who would like to help support this program. It has been carried by just a few interested individuals the past few years. Pony League is the first step following Little League ball for the boys of this area. Go to Church Sunday.

FT LEONARD WOOD. Mo.Army Pvt. William Van Dyke. 17, son of Mrs. M. Van Dyke, 901 Ohio St., Walkerton, completed an eight-week field communication crewman course at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., April 9. During the course. Van Dyke received training in the operation of light Army vehicles, communications wiring and wire laying and in message center and switchboard operation. He entered the Army last November and completed basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. The son of Bufford Van Dyke, Southern Hotel, South Bend,, he attended Walkerton High School. LANGLEY AFB. Va. Airman first class David R. Hartung, son of Mrs. Mary Hartung of North Liberty, was a member of the joint services marching unit that accompanied the body of General of the Army Douglas MacArthur from the Naval Air Station at Norfolk to its final resting place April 9. Airman Hartung was one of 165 Air Force personnel from this Tactical Air Command installa-
