Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DeMyer and son, Craig, spent the week end in Chicago with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schober. Mrs. Daisy Pennington and Ron of Wausaukee. Wis„ Mis. Russell Barnes and Mrs. Francis Holland were dinner guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Klickner of Knox. Mrs. Daisy Pennington and son, Ron. of Wausaukee. Wisconsin, and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marvin Pennington and grandson Dean of Porterfield, Wis., spent the week end here with relatives and friends. Mrs. William Sinclair and her mother of Walkerton, and Mrs. William Hostetler and daughter, of North Liberty, attended the funeral of Mrs. Sinclair’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Dibelka in Oak Park. Illinois, Saturday. She was the former Elizabeth Sinclair of Walkerton. On Wednesday, May 6. Indiana University celebrated its Founders Day. One of the features of the day was to honor and recognize the students on the Dean's Honor Lists. Rita Bierly. daughter of Mr. and Mrs Floyd Bierly was one of the honored students. 7TH INFANTRY DIV., Korea Army Pvt. Barry M Close. 18, son of Mr. and Mrs George W Close, 27252 New Road. North Liberty, was assigned to the 7th Infantry Division in Korea, March 24th Close, last stationed at Fort Lee, Va . is now a petroleum storage specialist in Company B of the division's 7th Aviation Battalion He entered the Army in Septcm' er 1963 and Completed basic training at Fort Knox Kv Close attended Washington High S< hool in South Bend.
