Mr. and Mrs. Del Pearse spent Mor. lay at their cottage at Diamoi I Lake. John Chew underwent surgery in Memorial hospital last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs Elden Kane visited with Rev. and Mrs. W. E. Thomas last Sunday in I^ree, Ind. Sunday evening guests of Mr and Mrs. Max Steele and family were Mr. and Mrs. Gerold Mikel and son, Donald, of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Steele entertained in their home Sun la v. honoring their two daught. rs, Mrs. Robert BaLsley and Mrs. Abbie Worster. It was Donna's •birthday and Peggy was leaving for her home in San Juan. Texas later in the afternoon. Others present were Robert Ba Isley and Tanya, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Allsop and Monty, Miss Darlene Allsop, and Mr and Mrs Russell Howard from Tipton. Indiana.

Albert Adams is slowly recovering from a recent major operation in Memorial hospital. Mr. and Mrs. John Reed of Fish Lake were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arno Reed Mr. and Mrs. Charles Van Winkle were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ginter. Mr. and Mrs Richard Glover and daughter. Jane, of Warsaw, were Sunday guests of Mr and Mrs. Del Pearse. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Snyder spent the week end in Fort Wayne visiting Mrs Carl Reid and family. Mrs Aibbie Worster was guest of honor at a coffee given by Mrs. Herman Mee Ie and Mis. Robert Raisley Saturday morning in the Bahsley home. She also was honored Thursday evening by a dinner, with guests ineluding Mrs. Joe Allsop and Monty, and Mrs Leonard Steele.

Walter Worthington. The main course of a progressive dinner party was held in the Robert Balsley home Friday evening for thirty-five membei s of their Sunday School class from the Community Baptist Church. Italian spaghetti and garlic bread was enjoyed by all Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gordon. Mrs. Al Zent. Mr and Mrs. John Elkins, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Zent, Mr. and Mrs. William Dean and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rauen and family hel[ ed Mr and Mrs. Charles Gordon celebrate their first anniversary on Monday evening. Mrs. AJtred smith returned home Sunday, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs Ernest Smi*h of Munster. She spent a week visitin^ relatives m Cnicago and attended the 50th anniversary of St. Matthews Lutheran Church of which she is a charter membei. A wonderful banquet was held in the Swedish Club in Chicago and special music was enjoyed during the week
