Mrs. Dora Faith of Corydon. Indiana, visited last week with her sis'er, Mrs. T. F. Radmacher. Mr. and Mrs. Richaid Masterman ate vacationing in Phoenix, Arizona, with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shultz and family. The Jimmy LaMarr Band were Friday overnight guests of Mrs. John Stahly Sr. and son. John. John is a member of the band Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Chapman spent Sunday in Chicago with her brother. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lee. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Shaeffer and daughter of Lafayette were Saturday and Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ridenour. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Chapman and family were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Haas and family in New Carlisle. Mra. Orville Schmeltz and Mrs. Hany Mechling and daughter. Nancy, spent Saturday and Sunday in Bloomington as guests of their daughters, Sandra and Harriet, for Mothers’ Week End at Indiana University. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gleason and son. John, of Three Rivers, Michigan, were the week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Guttman. Week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Bouse were the latter's mother. Mrs. Mabel Dunlap and her sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Chesney of Brownsburg. Mrs. Dunlap remained for a few weeks visit. Mrs. V. B. Wolfe of Sebring. Florida, is spending two weeks here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Glen Walz and other relatives and friends, also her son and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wolfe in Park Forest. TH. Mr. and Mas Arthur DeMyer had for their guests over the week end. Mr and Mrs. Carl Schober of diieago. On Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs DeMyer entertained with a dinner party honoring the thirteenth birthday of their son. Craig Other guests were Mr and Mrs. Roy Hostetter and Mrs. Dora Knowlton. Mr and Mn». Hobart Luther and Mr*. Emma King of Laporte, were Sunday dinner guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Agnew Ludwig and family spent Sunday in New Castle visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Howard and children, Maik and Dawn, and attended the baptismal services of Dawn. Mr. and Mrs. Ludvig were the God Parents. Mr. and Mrs. Vic Day and family of Winamac, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert King and family, helped their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Brust of Winamac, celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Mary Kay's Restaurant Sunday. In the afternoon they all attended the Choir Concert at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Donaldsort. The Senior girls of Mrs. Guttman's Economic classes took a tour of Beatty Memorial hospital Tuesday in observance of Mental Health Week. They were accompanied by Mrs. Guttman, 1 Mrs. Linder Schmeltz , Mrs. Jim Ridenour and Mrs. Tom Frame. The Senior boys of the Economics classes, along with Harold Matteson, went to Michigan City Tuesday and visited the State Prison. Three Arrested For Starting 2 Fires Monday Three Walkerton young men appeared in Superior Court No. 1 before Judge Walton Wednesday morning on charges setting fire to personal property. This followed two fires In the Walkerton area Monday night ithich led to their arrest aftef fife car they wen* in was identified and they were apprehended in Walkertori some time Later. Roy Baugher, IT 108 Shttfnroek St., and Jack Bierly, 22, R<mte X Walkerton, entered a plea of guity to the charge and A presentence investigation was ordered before the date of sentencing on May 18. Harold Bierly, 21, brother of Jack and also of Rt. 3, pleaded not guilty to the charges and will have to appear in court later on this count.
