O.E.S. NEWS Worthy matron, Mrs. Lcßoy Smith, and Worthy Patron. George Parks, conducted their ant meeting as head of Walkerton Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Monday night. The chaptci room had arrangements of light purple orchids and green fern on each pedestal. Mrs. Smith opened the meeting with a poem '‘To Live A Broth er9 “. An invitation was read to the reception honoring M At Barbai"a Lidy. Grand American Fing Bearer of the Order of Rainbow for Girls in Indiana, ami Mr. anu Mrs. Alfred Drews. Grand lecturer and Grand Chairman of District No. 1, to be held April h in the grade school The initiation degree® were conferred upon Mrs Mildred Dutcher under the direction of Mr Parks assisted by Ros oc Provence. Following her initiation. Mrs Dutcher was presented a white Bible in a ceremony given by the Bible Degree members The chapter wiU serve two din nets in April, one April 10. for t he Masons Father and ^>n Banquet. and the ScottLsh Rite Ladies Night. Smith spoke words of appreciation to the aaaoctate ma.iron. Mm. Alfred Drews and quoted a poem 'ffiie Silver Star ' When Mrs Drews was escorted to the East, he was presented a silver star jewel by Mrs smith. Under the direction of Mrs Drown the officers gave a clevei farewell akit entitled Hawaiian Paradise to the retiring matron a n d patron.
