Ron Wilharns' basket and Holland’s tw > free throws enoed the first period with laPsz leading 11-8 Ln a slow scoring and not too well played second quarter LaPaz increased this load Holland scored first with a short one hander, but Ron Williams tossed in om from the foul lane to offset this LaPaz then hit nine straight points as Redman started it with a free throw and then Balka hit four foul shots and a basset followed by a basket by Redman Cora comfortable 25-10 lead Frank Farner broke this string with a pair of charity shots and free throws took over as Balka hit another for the Vikings Carlos Arce and Doug Lute hit two each but Redman tossed in a coirpie for the visitors Ron Williams and Balka then traced baskets to make the core 30-19 at halftime. The Indians managed to trim thia lead by two points in the third period, getting set to make their run in the final eight minutes. Ron Williams was the big gun as he scored seven of the 14 points in this period They trailed 42-33 going into the final stanza Thornton opened this last quarter with a basket, but Ron W illiams contmin'd to bo the big gun with a basket Balka lit a field p >al and Willianc e ame bat k with two more foul shots.
