Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Palmiter, of s>>uth Bend, were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Skinner Saturday evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Perry Divine and daughter of South Bend, who brought a three tiered birthday cake for Mrs, Skinner whose birthday was September 13th, Sunday guests (if the Skinners were Mr. and Mrs Ix-igh Roy Hahn and family and Mr. and Mrs, Herald Hostetler and family. 60TH ANNIVERSARY On the evening of September 6, approximately 60 relatives and friends met in the recreation room of the Church of the Brethren to surprise and honor Mr. and Mrs. Charles Van Winkle on their 60th wedding anniversary. The tables were beautifully decorated with roses and a three tier cake and a ribbon cake were served with ice cream, coffee and punch. The next day the Van Winkles left for a short visit in Chicago. BRIDAL SHOWER A surprise bridal shower given by Mrs Ronald Thomas, Mrs. Duane Freeman and Miss Shirley Freeman feted Miss Nancy May last Wednesday. September 11, at the LaPaz Bank Lounge.
