Mrs. Edward Barlknect, a former resident of Koontz Lake for many years ami now residing near Grovertown. a nurse at the Grovertown school. is in St. Josephs Hospital, South Bend, for eye cataract surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reid spent the week end in Terre Haute visiting with Mr. Reid’s mother. Mrs. Sarah Helton and sister Thelma, and attending the Golden Anniversary of their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Orval West of Shelburn. The annual reunion of the Ecker family was held on the lawn of the Sam Hayes home on the south side of the lake with over 60 in attendance on Sunday. They came from various cities and towns of Indiana and the oldest was Bcnj. Ecker, age 81 and Mrs. Ecker age 76. The youngest was Kathy Ann Hayes, age 6 months. The afternoon was spent with considerable activity. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moran left for their winter home in Taveras. Florida and will not return until next spring.
