““— ——■— —... 11 — ■SU.?-,., in - 1 CHRISTIAN LIFELINES A Paraphrase Os The Lord’s Prayer 0 God, in this Your Kingdom to which we have riven our allegiance, You are our Father. How we wish j weryone could understand it; we do want Your t Kingdom to come real for more and more people, till Your plans work out on earth in all their completeness. As for today, please give us all its daily necessities. ; We are beginning to understand that we owe everyl thing to You, a debt we can never pay: help us to ' ; remember this when what someone else owes to us begins to loom too large in our mind, and obscures true vision of our fellows. You are the leader and Guide of our company along the road to today, and all I we ask is that there may be no unexpected encounters for which we are not ready. There is no doubt but that evil will be there to meet us: may we recognize it. and i rely on Your help to conquer it. For this Kingdom to ; which we have given our allegiance is Your Kingdom, and the power, and the glory about us is Your glory, and so it will be for ever and ever. Amen.
