Chamber Plans White Sox Tour On August 11 The Walkerton Chamber of Commerce is planning a White Sox tour on Sunday, August 11, asTim Gardner Day, Tim, as you know, is the official batboy for the Sox this year and th- Chamber has purchased a block of tickets and will provide bus service for those who want to attend this double header with the Detroit .Tigers, i Tickets for this day will be on a first come, first served basis as the block will be sold with or without bus tickets The price for the tic ket is $2 no and bus tare on chartei *d bus^s of the Indiana Motor Bus Company is s ; no p* r per son. Reservations mu d he in by Thur slay. August 1 for this day. Res. nations for the tour are available at the IndependentNews Co. as reservations will first have to be paid without receiving the ticket at this time as th v aren’t in as of now However. payment will secure your tickets for you. Anyone, adults or children, are welcome to attend this game through these facilities. This day was planned to bring a little recognition to Tim as he has been a good representative of Walkerton through this job. Plan now to be a part of the Tim Gardner Day, sponsored by the alkerton Chamber of Commerce. Crash Takes x Life Os Former Walkerton Boy Jack Dallas Day, 20. of 135 Horst St., Crown Point, whose mother, Mrs. Wilbur Stafford, lives at 612 Harrison St. Walkerton, Was killed Sunday night in a two-car accident at the mtvisvlion ut ('. The Allen car struck Day’s vehu le broadside. Nichols sustained a fractur. 1 left leg. a possible skull fracture and multiple contusion.-, ot the body. H * is in fair condition in Memorial hospital. Day was born June 24, 1943, in Walkerton. Funeral services will be held in the Nusbaum Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Thursday Kev. Jame Christoph-1 will otti- iate. Burial will be in Woodlawn < enu tery Friends may tall at the Funeral Home. He is survived by his mother and step-father. Mr and Mrs. Wilbur Stafford of Walkerton; his father.
