In the Cadet group Jo V K o J ak moved to the final.-, by defeating Larry Alward. He will play Gil Hughes who downed Larry Setnor. Rex Shupert will play the winner of a match between Tun Hughes ana Larry Hostetler for the tinal round of the boy's junior division. Major League The Little league continued play on June 25 with the White Sox defeating the A s in a 7-5 thriller. Kent Naragon hit a tworun homer in the bottom of the sth to wrap up the win. Gail Ross had two safeties for the As. In a six inning duel the Angels downed the Twin. 6-5 An error in the bottom of the -ixth allowed Martin tShupert to s< ore the winning run. Larry Setnor collected a double for the winners. The Phillies won another game behind the one hit pitching of Kent Rininger. The score was 10 4 as Kent Naragon got the only hit, a double, off Rininger. Rininger ana Harold Palmer had two hits each for the winners. Ralph Beil threw a two-hitter at the A s as the Twins won 3-1. Steve Mlekodaj had two hits for the winners and Mike Newcomer anc Gail Ross had the only hits for the I jeers. North Liberty Lions To Meet Monday Night The North Liberty Lions Club will hold their regular meeting Monday. July 8 at Mary Kay' Restaurant at 7:00 p m. This will be a Ladies’ Night. Entertainment will be installation of oflicers and a talk on one of the Lions State Projects, the leader Dog School for the Blind.
