A recent guest of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Barrett was Mrs. Harriett Taylor of Logansport. Mrs. Barrett with Mrs. Thomas Etherington and Dick of North Liberty, accompanied Mrs. Taylor home and on the return trip stopped in Kokomo to visit Mrs. Charles Hoeflinger in a hospital there. On Saturday Mrs. Barrett attended the wedding of her niece, Susan Ella Carney to Dale Mason Darling in Epworth Memorial Methodist Church. South Bend, which was performed by Rev. Richard

Sunday evenning she accompanied the John Bowmar family of Union Mills to Wanatah where they were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Noel King. After serving 9 years as state secretary of the Indiana Volunteer Firemen's Association, Harry Fries declined to run for another term. The Always Ready Club will hold their monthly meeting on Friday, June 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the home of Mrs. Floyd Brown. All members are urged to be present. Mrs. Floyd Brown and daughter, Jane, were guests of Mrs. Jesse Hunter in Morocco last week. Mrs. Irene Murray returned home after a several days trip, attending the golden anniversary of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dan McKendry of St. Louis, Mo. Enroute home she visited her brother, John McKendry of Dolton, 111, Mr. and Mrs. Don Wolfenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reid, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Lawrence, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fries, Gary Gedgoud, and David Keiper of the lake, an Norman Beam of Grovertown, attended the annual convention of Indiana Volunteer Firemen's Association at Angola Friday and Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ferrari spent several days in Chicago visiting with their sons and families, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ferrari and Mr, aan Mrs. Ray Ferrari and families. Mr. and Mrs. David Haux. Nancy and David, spent several days at the lake with their father, Richard Linke. Also Mrs. Haux’s brother Clarence and a friend. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brown and daughters attended a Father’s Day dinner for John Brown at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Miller at Lake of the Woods. There were 23 members of the family present. Mr. and Mrs. George Quebbeman, Delores, Mark and Paul, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, were guests of the Joseph Quebbemans Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hopman. of Chicago, are spending the week in the Keane cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fries spent Sunday in Tinley Park. Illinois as guests of their son and family, the Robert L. Fries. They helped to celebrate granddaughter Margie’s birthday.

Tyner Woman Speaks At Scout Leadership Camp Miss Loretta Kling, of Tyner, spoke Wednesday, June 12, before 175 Indiana Sunshine girls who are attending the annual leadership training camp at Camp Tecumseh, Delphi. She discussed the National Youth Power Conference she attended at the Palmer House in Chicago as a representative of the Indiana Sunshine Society. She said that teen-age girls of today have the least desirable diet of any group in our country and she urged all the girls to eat breakfast every day, plan well balanced meals, and drink plenty of milk the only food that con-
