Mrs. Glen Trost and Mrs. Ray Nusbaum are spending two weeks in Puposky, Minnesota visiting their mother. Mis. Elvin White and othetl relatives. Mr. and Mrs Robert Schmeltz returned home Funday after spending three months touring Old Mexico and other points of interest. In all they traveled about 6,000 miles. Mr and Mrs. William Hasse and three children of Dan Diego. California, will arrive next week for a visit with Mrs. Hasse's parents, Mr and Mrs. Louis Houser. Mr. and Mrs. L-igh Roy Hahn and family and Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn Jr. and family attended the Thompson reunion held at Pottowattomi Park Sunday.

Robert Wolfe s a patient in the Walkerton Nursing Home. Mrs. BerUia Urbin and Bob Spent Sunday in Kewanna with Mr. and Mrs T. C Urbin. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DeMyer and Craig spent Sunday in Mishawaka with Mr and Mrs. Robert Love and son Robin. Mr. and Mrs Noble Sheatsley Jr. and children of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, are visting his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Noble Sheatsley Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bonifachis and family, Mrs. Gladys Tener, Mr. and Mrs. Don Bonifacius and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Filips and sons of Gi overtown spent the week end , in Clinton. Ind., and attended the commencement of Robert Bonifacius who grauated from Indiana State College. Terne Haute. Mi JR. Burnett and Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Burgess and two < hildren. Kemberly and Scott of Clinton. Missouri, spent several days recently in the home of Mr. and . Mrs. Russell Ruby. Mrs. Burnett is a sister of Mrs. Ruby. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Rautio were in Adran, Michigan Friday to attend the alumni banquet which honored the class of 1938, of which Mrs. Rautio was a member. Saturday the Rautios visited relatives in Blissville, Michigan and Sunday attended a dinner in East Lansing for Captain Nicolan who is head of the Communications System for the Michigan State Police. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Weakly and daughter Sherry, Mrs. Nora Hahn. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Stull, Mr and Mrs. Warner Clark and Mrs. Cloyd Smith were in Indianapolis Sunday to attend the graduation of the former's son. Neal Weakly, from the School of Pharmacy. Curtie, Michael and Robbie Gore of Crete, Illinois, spent ten days visitng their grandmother. Mrs. Frank Dunn. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Dunn and two sons of El Paso. Texas, were also here visiting his mother. Mrs. Dunn, and attended the Alumni banquet. They left Wednesday for their home in El Paso.

Mrs. Frank Dunn was in Harvey, Illinois last Thursday where she attended the graduation exercises of her grandson, Freddie Hariris from Thornton High School. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Dunn and sons of El Paso, Texas, were Monday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Chapman and family. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Brown and children were week end guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs, George Seitz. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kickbush and sons spent ten days in Cattaragus, New York, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kickbush, and other relatives. ‘ Red Sox Stay i Unbeaten In League Play The Walkerton Red Sox remain, ed undefeated in league play in Mishawaka during the past week as two victories were recorded. They and the Downtown Merchants of Mishawaka each have । 4-0 records and these two teams meet at the Dodge-Exchange diamond Thursday night at 7:00 pm. I Last Thursday, Associates fell to the Red Sox 6-0 as Bob Lute ! pitched a 4-hit shutout. The game , was scoreless until the fourth inning when Sonny Cripe tripled with two out. Bob Urbin then hit a home run to make the score 2-0 and it stayed that way until an outburst in the seventh inning gave the winners four more runs. 1 Tuesday, the Sed Sox jumped off to a 2-0 lead in the first inning against Electrodyne Corp, as Ora Harder's bases loaded single chased home the runs. Single runs f were added in the third and sixth to tie the score. In the seventh, Cripe reached on an error and Urbin hit a home run over the fence for the 6-4 win. Dolph DeVolder pitched for the winners allowing seven hits. Friday night Wagner Steel, a strong team in Mishawaka, will visit the local diamond for a double header nt 7:30 p m. The next league game will be Tuesday night but the time and place are unknown at this time.

Legion Team 1 Wins First League Game The Walkerton American Legion Baseball team extended their season record to 4-1 this past week and picked up a win in their first league game as they dropped Post 303 of South Bend Tuesday night. Sunday they won a double, header at Ligonier by scores of 7-3 and 1-0. Tuesday found an exciting start to league play as 303 fell 5-3 at the local park. Jack Edison pitched for Walkerton and Sili pitched for the losers. Don Luwig paced the local attack with two hits and Dave Solmos and Gordon Shuppert had doubles in the late rallies. Sunday Ludwig pitched the first game wtih the help of Tini Gardner in the last two innings as the 7-3 win was recorded. The second game was a pitchers battle with Severs pitching the win for Walkerton in the game that saw only five hits, two by the winners. Shuppert had four hits for the double header and Edison and Ludwig each had two. 'The next game is Thursday night at Michigan City and on Saturday the team will travel to Nappanee for a non-league tilt.
