CHRISTIAN LIEELINES “Tire Christians Place In The World” We have no excuse for ignoring the world of unbelieving men. Far too many Christians feel they owe j I nothing to the world but to condemn it. They withI draw from it into a shell of sillated “spirituality”. With Paul wp see a man who was always on the lookout for opportunitp to be a blessing to all classes and con- । ditions of people He did not shrink from meeting and i serving unbelievers Jesus tells His followers that they are the salt of the earth (Mt. 5:13). He wants Christians to have a potent | effect upon society -a preservative, wholesome, restraining effect. No Christian is justified in withdrawing into a shell and letting the world of unsaved people go on its way unhindered to hell. I Scripture Press Ministers Os Walkerton and Koontz Lake j

■ I$UW^1 $U W^ Rev. ROBERT H. HARPES FATHEHS’ DAY X T ANY years ago, at the clast 1 ‘of a Mothers' Day service ia a New Orleans church, a little girl asked me why we did not have a Fathers' Day service. I could not give any satisfactory answer then, I was glad soon afterward that such a day was designated, I am sure that Father needs no eulogy from me. in song and story JLST A THOUGHT: The hand is quicker than the eye, or is it? Does it perhaps happen that sometimes we allow ourselves I to see only what we want to see and nothing more? his worth has been set forth. And when the Lord Jesus taught men to pray, he bade them to address God as "our Father.’’ And wa know that the Father is everywhere in the universe He has made, everywhere that men pray, And what greater incentive to pray can there be that the God who has made ten thousand worlds is something like, though in infinitely greater degree, our good fathers on earth? And what greater assurance could we have in crying out of our need 9 Years ago 1 heard of a little girl who was found playing with her doll as happily as if she were safe at home. And when the frightened people on the ship asked why she v. as not afraid in the raging of g great storm, she replied, "My father is the captain " And a few’ days since I read of a small boy who was seated alone in a train. And when a preacher sat down beside him and asked if he was afraid on the train alone, he replied, "No, my father is driving.” On Fathers' Day, let us prove that we know that God is in charge.
