Walkerton Liws To Hold Annual Chicken Barbecue June 16
The Walkerton Lions Olub will hold their annual Chicken Barbecue on Sunday. June 16. This annual event wii' feature the barbecued chicken that has been so popular with the area people. The Lions do all their own cooking and are g dting some master chefs among the group) The tickets will again be $1 50 for adults and 75c for children under 12. Many of the Lions Club members will have tickets this week end and <<ll next week or they will be available at the door. A list of committees will be published next week for all the Lions members with specific duties. Aill Lions arc needed to work during the day and erving will be from 12:00 noon until the chicken supply runs out, usually shortly after 2:00 pin. Plenty of space will be available in the Youth Bui ding to accommodate all persons when they are ready to eat. This date is Father’s Day, so plan now to bring dad and all the kids to the Barbecue. Stop by outside and see the fryers in action and then enjoy some of the best chicken you can get anywhere, GIRL SCOTT DAY CAMP TRAINING POSTPONED The Girl Scout Day Camp Training Session scheduled for June 19, has been postponed until further notice because of conflicts in dates.
