Wells Romp To 17-9 Victory Wells softball team opened the defense of the A-2 League Championship. W«Hs scored a crushing 17 to 9 victory over Bostonian Shoes in a game played Monday night at the Dodge Park in Mishawaka. Bostonian Shot's jumped off to 3 runs in the first inning only to have the Wells nine come back to score 5 runs in the last halt of the first. Wells increased their lead 6-4, but in the 4th inning the B. S. scored 5 runs to make the score 8-6. Weils added 5 more runs in the last of the 4th to lead 11-8. They gained 2 runs in the sth and 4 in the sixth. Wells was paced by balanced hitting with Codge Harness hitting a home run in the 4th. Wells' next game will be vs. Millikins Bar Tlmrsday night at seven at Central Park.
