CHRISTIAN LIFELINES I In a world of great mechanical and scientific advances we are now concern d with reaching into space improving our standard of living, and li\ ing the full life. Yet, in our world we find bitterness, hate, and misunderstandings threatening to tear the world asunder. Even now, in the heart of the “free Christian nai tion” we find hatred and fear at work. James (4:12) raises the question, “Who are you that you judge your neighbor?” We all know that we are to “love one another with brotherly affection.’’ Romans (12:10) Rut we need to j ause to reconsider who this refers to. As Jesus taught us in the parable of tin- Go d Samaritan, the one who is our m ignbor ami our brother includes those of other races and . ocial registers. Raul said “for now we sc- in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.” We find that there are many things that cloud the issues of life. We are not able to see the right and wrong of a situation clearly. We may te?l that we are certainly right, and w ‘ may h- all wrong. Let us live at peace with on ' another judging no < ne. In the racial violence of our dav lot us pray for the mdyfiduals involved on both B ides. and in our daily living let us meet and receive all people in love as God’s children.
