Gone from Liberty’s first county championship baseball team of hist spring are Geny Wharton, pie her; Stan Wolff, Ist B and CF; John Peddycord, 28, and Phil Cohee. P-OF, all by graduation. Also gone are Jerry Gorby, senior OF, and Jack Jackson, sophomore OF and p. Gorby Is working and Jackson decided to drop out of spring athletics. Ron Davis will probably cover center 1 and the rest of he outfield is unr settled Wo should have a good defensive team and we have possibilities of fair hitting. It will ’ mainly be a question if we can keep the other team from scoring less runs than we do as hitting will be our question mark. Not 1 too many hits returned from last year's team. - Although we only have three city games this year, as compared with four lad year, the overall schedule is stronger. The county schools are all a lot stronger. As Madison only lost one boy.
