Commenting on North Liberty. Dr. Hardy said it was always a country community, but it is a real progressive town. Os course, hw help has been a big part of the progressiveness of the town. He served on the board of directors of the Community State Bank for many years, having recently sold his interests there. He likes the people who he jokingly says call him anything from "Die", to “Old Doc Hardy" to “Dr Hardy." At ft spry 78 years of age. Dr. Hardy looks very well as his six foot frame and 190 pounds are carried like a man of many years younger. Os hi.s future, he said age has slowed him down some but of retiring, no, not while he can keep going.
