Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kaufman, and Mrs. Wava Eslinger of Mishawaka. 4 H SHARE THE FUN CONTEST The St. Joseph County 4-H Share the Fun program was held at tho New Carlisle Elementary School last Saturday. The program consisted of forty-five acts from different townships. The objectives of this festival arc to stimulate the development of good entertainers among members of 4-H clubs. Those from Liberty Township who received honorable mention were Joan and Janet Chngenpeel in their acrobatic and baton routine. Vicki and Shelly Patinella in a brother and sister acrobatic danca.

Participating were Jimmy Malec ki. Danny Stokes. Alan Northam, Mike Fitzgerald, Gary Buswell and Wm. Cornell, all of D<n 4 Their di play was about Spring with little figures, a birdhouse and a boat. Keith Knepper presided in the absence of Cub Masta Casimer Stasko. Den 8 was Ln charge of the opening and closing. Receiving awards were William Comull and Danny Stokes, each a wolf badge and a gold arrow and also Alan Northam. a gold and silver arrow under wolf. Refreshments of cupcakes, pop and coffee were served nearly 100 persons present. MINNETONKA 4-H 6 A money making pr »j i for 1963 was dicusMJd at the se ’ond meeting of the Minnetonka 4 H Club It was decided to have a chili and oyster supper April 27. Committees were pointed f>r this event. A health and safety lesson was givai by Sharon Knowlton and Bai bara Wilson. Recreation was led by Debbie Anderson. Our first demonstration of the year was given by Gerri Stickley. Refreshments were served by Gerri Stioklev and Donna Smith.

OBITUARIES - ?^ y h Johnie Edward Wallace Johnie Edward Wailace Jr.. 17, of Rt. 1, Walkerton, died at 2:43 pin. Saturday in tho Bremen Community Hospital of a heart attack. He had open heart surgery several years ago. He was boin March 15, 1946, in South Bend, and was a lifetime resident of the Tyner community. He w*s a junior at Tyner High School, a member of the Future Farmers of America and the Hi-Y and attended the Blissvillc Church of the Brethren. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Othui Holderread; a brother and sister at home, Donovan and Linda, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. August Renz of Teegardun and Mrs. Delice Holderrcad of Rt. 1, Plymouth. Services were held Tuesday in the Blissville Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Dale Roher, officiating. Burial was in Tyner Cemetery. Spelling Contest In Semi Finals The Semi-finals of the High School division of the annual spelling content at North Liberty High School were held Wednesday, March 27. Representatives from <uch home room competed for the six finalists who will compete at the April 16 P.T.A. meeting. The finalists arc: Seniors: David Beckwith, Larry Kana Bonnie Fietz. Junior: Vioki Zent. Sophomore: Bruce Vernon. Freshman; Margaret Mangus.
