E-D-I- T-O-R-I -A-L An anonymous tetter v is received last week by a peis n who had some complaints in t ‘spect to the Walkerton Lions Club Youth Building. This matter being one which means much to me, has prompted some answers to this letter writer with a grip..* but

lettctr. One complaint was that the Youth Building was dirty and needed a good cleaning. This is a statement that is true, hut also there is more to it than that In the summei the Youth Building is opened for the Junior League to have access to the rest rooms Wv *io not ask the kids to inter the building and play inside, running from one end to the other, squirting the water fountain and so forth Offering them the facil. ities to use the uti ities of th* building and also to store then equipment in the building is a good gesture by the Youth Build mg commit tee. but for them to have t* furnish a chaperone every night of the week while the building is open, is another thing Also, we have not had any offers by individuals or groups using the building to help clean up the premises either It wems that sole responsibility of thbuilding is left entirely up to Uic Lions Club in this line. Also commented upon in tn letter was the fa* t that new cai 1 tables are needed This also is a recognized fact, but such matters as this require money and plenty of it. Since the completion of the building in 1956, the Walk erton Lions Chib has put over 12.000 dollars in maintenance and operation of the building ITicc on ni^v tables were so prohibitive at ‘he time when the nail arose, that the club simply waAnt able to stand this cost. Here again is a place the Lions Club has been offered limited h*lp The construction of the front put on the building that wa.sn’ completed whs ais«, mentioned and tins is a matter that ha., been on the plans since the start and <*n** that called for completion this week This letter, obviously written
Hew engines, suspensions, frames and narrower front ends show their stuff on Mexico's tough Baja Bun! With month'- of proving-ground tests under their belts, way did new Chevrolet trucks take on the rugged Baja (bah'hah) Peninsula? This is the toughest line of trucks ( hevrolet has ever bunt. Sending them over the most punishing terrain in North America (a road totally unlike the fine highways on the Mexican mainland) was double proof of this fact. Frames, engines, suspension systems were sui>- w jected to stresses far greater than trucks normally encounter.
