Tom Ward, Bob Cripe and Denny Sheaks attended the Chicago Cubs and Los Angele.' Dodgers double header recently at the Chavez Lavine in Los Angeles. Mrs Jacie Radmacher returned Sunday from a week's visit with het sister. Dora Faith, and Mrs. Edna Anderson of Laconia. Ind. Mrs Dorothy Eagerman of Deti nt is visaing her sister and husband. Mi. and. Mrs. Harry Doll for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Ingram and son. Bob. returned from a two week’s vacation sightseeing and vD.ting relatives near I-nke of the Ozarks. They also visited relatives in St. Louis. Missouri, and attended the ball game in Busch Stadium between the Cardinals and Huston. On their way home they visited Mrs. Lottie Short in Southern. Indiana. Dr. and Mrs. Bryce Rohrer have returned from a vacation in the western states. Some of the highlights of the trip included visiting national parks and the Seattle World’s Fair. Their children, Kenny and Kathy, visited their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glade Rohrer, of Wakarusa.

Mrs. Maude Kellogg just returned by plane from New York after spending two weeks with her Son, .Jack Kellogg, and his roommate, Howard Fields. She also visited her niece, Vera Hum, and family, of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Liwr m e Freeman. of Norman. Oklah >ma. arrived Friday to visit her si tc. and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Beaty. An anniversary dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Cole was enjoyed Friday evening and they then visited Mr. and. Myx Lloyd Freeland and family, in South Bend. On Saturday, the Freemans and Beatys and grandson, Robert Cole visited the ladies' mother, Ml’S. C. W. Campbell on her birthday, in IMle Center, Ohio. On Sunday they attended the Greentree Family reunion at Findlay, Ohio. The Freemans then remained in Ohio to visit before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Clemons and sons. of Martins Ferry, Ohio, an* visiting his sister, Mrs. Adam Mann, and family, this week. Mr. and Mrs. Maneli.m Van Wanzeele spent some time in South Bend and Buchanan, Mirh., this week because of the sudden death of her brother. Lloyd b. Pollitt, of Buchanan, The funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon in the Swem Funeral home in Buchanan. Mrs. Lee Chapman, Kenny and Laura l^e, left Saturday morning for Minneapolis, Minn., with the Maple City Drum and Bugle Corps where they will compete in a national contest. They tiaveled by bus. There are about 65 in the group accompanied by some of the parents. Mr. and Mrs. Don Petry and daughter. Georgia, of Hoopeston, HI., spent the week end visiting their daughter and family. Dr. and Mrs. Richard Hershberger. Mrs. Maxine Wood, of Kokomo, visited her daughters. Miss Connie Wood and Mr. and Mrs. James Keeling and family over the week end. M's. John Bruhm and sons, John and Jeffrey, of San Diego, Calif , and Mrs. Rm he| Bruhm. of Indianapolis were guests Friday in the home of Dr. and Mis. G R. Hershberger. Mr. and Mrs. Denslow Doll and children. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Doll and Mrs. Dorothy Fagerman attended the Doll reunion in Kimmel. Ind., Sunday. Marine Lt. Robert Hopper spent a few days visiting his cousin, Rhea Crip*, in Alahambra, California, before leaving San Francisco for Okinawa. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hannagen entertained Mrs. John Sorenson. Cape Coral. Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Williams and Mrs. Ben Brede. for dinner Saturday evening. Sunday evening supper guests of the Hannagens were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaunaman, of Hollywood. Florida; Mr. and Mrs Carl Bennett. Pretty Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koppenhofer Sr.. Grovertown. FHILATHEA ( LASS MEETING The Philathea Class of the Methodist Chinch, had a very enjoyable meeting last Thursday afternoon Mrs. Edward Hostetlei was in charge, and the hostdsses were Mrs. Emma Gouker Mrs. Al Schutz and Mrs. Emma Cites The les,on was presented by Mrs Charles Bellinger and Mrs George Seitz read the Scripture les on. Clyde Miller, and daughters Debbie and Pamela, of Dallas, Texas, were guests Saturday and Sunday of his parents, Mr. and Mis. Roy Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daniels and children, and Robert and Ruth Ann Murphy, of Mishwaka, spent last week vacationing at a cottage at Cedar Lake, Ind. A. J. Daniels is getting along nicely following surgery on his leg last week in Holy Family hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Orcutt of Fort Wayne wore week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Orcutt. Mr. and Mrs. Noll Cossin and son, Daryl, of Livonia, Mich., spent the week end with their grandmother, Mrs Wilfred Erwin and other relatives. Mr and Mrs. Frank Hahn and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Williams and children, spent Sunday in Bremen with Mr. and Mrs. James Farrer and family. Kent Farrer returned home with them to spend the week with his grandparent-. Mr. and Mrs. Hahn.
