Tri Kappas Hold Picnic Overcost skies and occasional tain didn't dampen the spirits of members of Epsilon Chi Chaptei <|f Tri Kappa and then hus. hands ag they gathered at the Wayne Burch cottage at Koontz Lake Sunday, tor an afternoon of water sports, shufflehoard and various other games. The highlight of the day was provided by Dr. Bryce Rohrer and Russell Hartsough demonstrating their skill on water skis while fully clothed, and Bob Hiler and Bob Gardner taking their wives for a canoe ride. Yorktown Home Demonstration Club The Yorktown Home Demonstration club met in the home of Mrs. Robert Lute. July 12, with ten members and four guests present. Mrs, Edgar Cole was co-hostess for the evening Sue Clark gave a report on her trip to the l-H Roundup at Purdue which was held in June. Mrs. Marvin Bouse is in charge of arrangements for a trip to Elkhart. August 22, to visit a museum. Mrs. Ralph Harbaugh, of North Liberty, demonstrated some handycraft which was interesting and attractive. Next month we will meet at the home c.f Mrs Harry Masterman with Mrs. Lee Chapman as co hostess. There will b- a white elephant sale and the making of favors for future use. Prizes were won by Mrs. Russel Hartsough and Mrs. Robert Farrar. NORTH LIBERTL M. V. F. ICE CEAM SOCIAL The North Liberty Methodist Youth Fellowship ice cream social will be hold July 20 at the Methodist Church. Sandwiches, ice cream, cake, pie, coffee and pop are on the menu.

The meeting was then adjourned Attend Library Workshop At I. l\ Eight from St. Joseph County are among 165 high school students and recent graduates attending the ninth annual Indiana University Workshop for Student Library Assistants, July 15-21. The workshop is designed foi high school students participating in school or public library programs as assistants, pages oi members of library clubs. Those attending will plan discussion groups and film forums, preprepare exhibits, visit libraries, hear lectures from authorities in the field and learn about the care of library materials. Among the students are: Janet Owens, Rt. 3, and Sandy Schmetz of Rt. 2, Walkerton. Po’ice News Mrs Eva Ric-, route 3, and Mrs. Marie Allen, 907-A Ohio St . ■Walkerton, were arrested by the Walkerton Police on July 16 foi disorderly conduct. The- two will conic to Cour* at separate times this week end to appear before the Justice of the Peace. Phillip Beal >r. route 1, La Port--, wh< was arrested on July 7th for speeding, came to court on this charge last week end.
