Liberty 0. E. S. Participates In Grand Inspection Mrs. Sara Scott, nf Dana. Ind Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter O. E. S., and David Miller. Goshen. Worthy Grand Patron, conducted inspection of Mishawaka Chapter 269. Lakeville Chapter 179. and North Liberty Chapter 290. in the Mishawaka Masonic Temple on Monday evening. The chapter room was decorated to represent a summer garden, with a profusion of pink and white roses and greenery. Bird houses and blue birds wt>o placed among the flowers, and huge white doves, the grand matr n's emblem, were landing among tree branches. and Mr. Miller. Greg Bellinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bellinger of North Liberty, was among the children dedicated to the principals of the order. Mrs Leona Kuhn, of Mishawaka, then received a fifty year gold membership pin, Mishawaka officers. with Mrs. Floyd Oakley, worthy matron, and Julius Orlosky, worthy patron. conducted the opening and escorting ceremonies. Mrs. Scott was escorted by Everett Culp, master of Mishawaka Lodge 130. F & A M, and a past patron, thru an arch formed by presiding patrons of the district, and Mr. Miller was escorted *by Mrs. Clyde Martin, a past matron, thru an arch formed by presiding matrons. A song was sung to each, and they were presented crowns and scepters, containing monet <ry gifts from each chapter. Among the distinguished guests were Mrs. Mildred Smith, of Tucson, Ariz., past grand ma. tron. and Ray E. Walters, Nappanee. past grand patron; also Mrs. Vera Brewer, deputy of distri< t 20; Grand Adah, Mrs. Jane Yost, Dayton. Ind.; Grand Ruth, Mrs. iTila Tucker, Middleton, Ind.; Grand Esther, Mrs. Jocie Kircher, Greencastle, Ind., and Grand Electa, Mrs. Norman Hamilton. Pittsboro, Ind. Mrs. Julia Atz. district deputy of Kendallville, was also present, as was Mrs. David Miller, and several grand representatives and committee appointment members. Initiatory rites were conducted by Mr. anti Mrs. David McGowan, worthy matron and patron of Lakeville, and their officers, and North Liberty officers had charge of the closing rites.
