Mr and Mrs. Kenneth Dean and Mrs. William Doan and daughter, Lisa, spent Sunday afternoon visiting Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wagoner in Rochester Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Johnson and family, and John Johnsen, were Sunday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Doan, Mrs. William Doan and Lisa. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Menczyski. of Crumstown, Here Id Peterson and family and M-s. Hattie Peterson, of South Bi nd, and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Menczyski were dinner guests of Ed Peterson and family cn the 11h of July. Al Summerfield has purchased the Sleeth property on Lafayette Street and he and his family will occupy it after some remodeling. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Biery, of Geneva visited Mrs. C. S. Benjamin and Mrs. Pauline Morris on the Fourth. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Mamerow spent the Fourth at Diamond l^e, at the home of Mr. and Mrs William Shields. Mra. Charles Ulrich spent Tuesday in South Bend with Mr and Mrs. Kenneth 11: u h Mug Barbara rnesier. Mr. and Mrs. Arno Reed visited their granddaughter, Janet Price, at FloCa, Indiana Sunday afternoon. I >• Mrs. Stacy Wilson left Thursday to return to her home in Buena Park, Calif. She spent the last three weeks visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs Amo Reed, and other friends and relatives.

Mrs. Clyde Creech is spending a few days with her daughter Mrs. Allen Balsley and family. Mrs. Clara Auld spent several days visiting Miss Ethel Haas in Elkhart last week She returned Sunday evening.. Mies Barbara Hauen spent a week at the Lynn Pheghley heme in LaCrosse. Mrs. Donald Fair and son. of Clearwater. Fla., are spending the week here as guests of her mother, Mrs. Zelpha Folk, and other relatives. They were in Detroit the forepart of the week visiting Mr and Mrs. Clyde Steele. Mr. and Mrs H. C. Beckwith had as guests this week Mr. and Mrs L. Wooster and two daughters, of Fairfax, Va. Mr. Wooster is Mrs. Beckwith's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tricxel ard Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Shafer, of South Bend, were guests of Trickel’s sister. Mrs. Roy Horreh and family, on the Fourth. Mrs. Clyde Steele, of Detr it, spent last Thursday and Friday visiting her mother, Mrs. Zel >ha Folk. Mrs. Fred DeCoudres underwent surgery at Memorial hospital in South Bend, last Friday merning. She was able to return home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Stombaugh and children, of Avon, Ohio, came Monday tc spend the week visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Forest Stombaugh and Janet. John has accepted a new teaching position at Avon Lake, and moved his family there last week from Ashland, Ohio, where he has taught the past three years. Miss June Wolfe spent several days last week in Walkerton visiting her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Grcver Oplinger.
Andy and Jeanie Rumple, of Indianapolis. were overnight guests of Kirk Liggett and his parents, Mr and Mrs. Maurice Liggett, Friday and Saturday. Miss Kay Sims spent several days visiting Mr and Mrs. Willard Thomas of Stillwell.
