in tbe town aforesaid, reported as aforesaid, which are contained in the teportof the register and receiver, and which, by tho said report, appear to have been built upon, or improved and occupied, on or before the fiftaenih day of April, one thousand eight hundred and thirteen, the claimants shall be entitled to grants therefor as donations: Provided, That, in ail such claims, where the quantity claimed is not ascertained; on cne claim shall be confirmed for a quantity ejtceeding seven thousand two hundred square feet: Arid provided, also Tlut all the confirmations and grants provided to be made by this scrshall amount only to a relinquishment forever, on the part of the United States, of all right and title whatever, to the lots of land so confirmed or granted. Sec. . And b: it further enacted, That ths registers and receivers of tho land crLcesatSt Helena Court house, una at Jackson Court House, respectively, shall have the same powers to direct the manner in which all lands confirmed by this act, shsll ba located and surveyed; and, also, to decide between the parties in all conflicting and interfering c!aimi,as are gives by the dct, entitled "An act supplementary to the several acts for adjusting the clai fns to land, and establishing land offices, in the districts east of the island of New Orleans.'. AN ACT to designate the boundaries of a land Disuict, and for the establishment of a Land OiRce , iu the state of Indiana. Be it enacted by the Senate arA r House cf lleiresentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled) That, for the sale of the unappropriated public lands in the state of Indiana, to which the Indian titles is extinguished, the following district shall be formed, and a land office established: AH the public lands, as aforesaid, to which the Indian title was extinguished by the treaties concluded at St Alary' in the month of October, eighteen hundred and eighteen, lyins east cf the range line, separating the first and second t arges, east of the second principal meridian, extended north to the present Indian boundary, and north of a line to be run separating the tiers of townships numbered 20 & twenty on, commencing o;i the eld Indian boundary, in range thirteen' east of the said principal meridian, in Randclph county, and the said district to be bounded on the east by the line dividing the states of Ohio and Indiana, shall form a district, lor which a land office shall be established at Fort Wayne. Sec. 2, ind be i! further enacted, That the President is hereby authored to appoint, by ar.d with the adVice and consent of the Senate; for the aforesaid district, a Register of tho Land OfTicei and a Receiver of Public Moneys; which appointments x shall not be made, for the aforesaid land district, until a sujficicnt quantity of public lands shall have been surveyed within the said district, as to authorize, in the opinion of the President, a r public sale cf land within the same; w hich UgiMer of the J-and Office, & Receiver of Public Moneys, when appointed, shall each, respectively, give ' security, in the same sums, and in the same manner,' and whose compensation, emoluments, and duties, and authority, shall, in every respect, be the same in respect to the laods which shall b disposed of at their offices, as ti e or my be provided by law in relation to the Registers and Receivers of Public Moneys in the several land office established for the disposal of the public lands of the United States, in the States of Ohio and Indiana. Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, Thai til the public lands within the fsrr id district, to which the Indian

title has been extinguished, and which have not been granted to, or secured for, the use of any individual, or individuals; or appropriated and reserved for any other purpose, by any existing treaties or laws, and with the exception of section numbered sixteen, in each' township, which shall be reserved for the support of schools therein, shall be offered for sale to tho hightst bidder, at the land office for the Slid district, under the direction of the Register of the Land Office, and Rectiver of Public Moneys, on such ' daytor days, as shall, by proclamation of ths President of the United States, be tesighated for that purpose: the land) shall -be 6old in tracts of the same size, on the same terms and conditions, and in every other respect, as provided by; the act, entitled 41 An act making further provisions for the sale cf the public lands;" approved April twenty fourth, eighteen hundred and twenty. Sec. 4. And be it farther encctcd, That the President of the U. States shall kavc power, and he is hereby authorised," to remove, whenever he shall judge it expedient so to do, the land office aforesaid, to such suitable place, within the said district, as he shall judge most proper. Sec. 5 And 6e it further enacted, That the Register of the Lond Office, and Receiver of Public Moneys, shall, each, receive five dollars for each day's attendance in superintending the public sales, in the said district. worth $120. The other, is a SMALL BAY HORSE,

( A stud nbout 15 hands hih, a small star in his forehead and a snip on his nose. Two bridles fct one saddle were taken with the above horses the saddle is considerably worn, has plated stirrup Irons and a scarlet cloth bound with buff. The above villianshave taken some new hats out of a hatter's shop, and some new clothes from a tailor's shop, and in all probability many other articles not yet heard of. A generous reward and all reasonable charges will be paid to any person who will return said horses and thief, or thieves to the subscribers ia Madison, or will secure either or both and give information wit re thej may be had. Since the above was in type, we have been informed that a jorrel horse belonging to Mr Reed, near this town has also been stolen. N. B. The villians who took the above described horses were seen this morning in the road leading from thi3 place to Lexington and Salem, Indiana. Editors of newspapers in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee will please give the above adveitisement a few insertions in their respective papers, and the favor will be reciprocated ia the Indiana Republican when requested.
