The Mankrupt Law. " o have for sale the various blank forms lor applications under the bankrupt law. Attorneys and others desiring any number of these blanks, will pleasesend in thelrorden at once. EaTA vote for Hogshirr Jordon and Green to-day, will be a vote against negro suffrage. 137* We understand that a large number of special policemen have been commissioned for service to-day. There is no necessity for such a force. No good is intended by It. The people are competent to conduct an election without such kind of aid, and wish no Interfereneo with their rights. HfTHigh prices for all that we eat and all we wear, with the cheapening of the laborers’ compensation is the result ot radical rule. £aF There was a grand rally of the people at Mozart Hall, last night. The right spirit prevailed, and the enthusiasm was unbounded. Major Jonathan W. Gordon delivered one of his telling speeches. In a masterly manner he exposed the corruption, the extravagance, and the negro designs of the leaders of the radical party. The gathering warlike an old fashioned revival meeting. The speeches were all short and to the point. Bonfires,Gresh’s band, and the music of the anvil kept up the outside excitement to a late hour. m • 137*All who desire the permanent prosperity and progress of the country should vote the anti radical ticket to-day. t3TThe Mayor has issued bis proclamation closing the liquor saloons to-day. This Is in accordance with law, and the order will bo rigidly luforccd. J3y Vote early. Let every Democrat make it his duty to deposit his ballot the first thing this morning. The state Fair.—The total receipts of the Stale fair, held in Terre Haute last week, wa« 921,024, against 914,000 last year. There were 66,300 tickets sold this year against 88,000 last year. The premium list and expenses of the fair will foot up about 915,000, so that there will be a balance of about 90,000 left in the treasury over and above all disbursements. As another evidence of the success of the fair the ten per cent, on entry feet amounted to $8,300 this year, against 91,900 last year. These facts are highly creditable to the members and officers of the agricultural board, and are the best proof of their soeeeeaful management ol tbe fair. — 1—B ♦-9——Every Democrat shuuid not only vote himself, to-day, but also see that hit neighbor votes. Operatic - La Orange - Brignoli.- This morning, at nine o’clock, tbe sale of reserved seats will commence at the music store ol Meters. Benham A Co., for tbe operatic representations of tbs magnificent La Grange, and the silvery voiced tenor, Signor Brlgnell, next Thursday and Friday. The first rendition will be Dorijettl’s charming comic opera, M Don Pasquele,” and the aecend and last Rossini's immortal cemtc masterwork, “ Barber of Seville.’! As these two operatic concerts will be the only representation# here this season, It will be advisable for all musts lovers to avail themselves of (his opportunity. Our exchanges ara teeming with extravagant laudations of tha voices, acting, and appearance of La Grange. The citlxens of Indianapolls will shortly have the opportunity of Judging for themselves, whsthsr these ac•o** 1 * «• warranted. Sale of seato this morning at alas a. m. AN Outrage.—A man by the same of Williams, who dram pay aa a policeman, yesterday made aa affidavit upon "Information and belief’ that OHvtrBice was a counterfeiter. To this miserable subterfuge the radicals have tertataS teget Oliver Bleeoutof the way today. He hae been a radical but Is now supporting tbe conservative ticket. That la hit crima In tbe eye* of the police force, and he must be arrested. It to well known that every effbrt bee been made for a week put to buy Rice back, and be haa been offered large rams of money to rapport tbe radical ticket. He could not be bought, and hence be moat be arreeled. Bhame on the miserable party that would resort to such tricks to sustain their sinking fortunss. All the money of tbe bondholders can not buy tbs honest laboring man who will vote the conservative ticket fer tbe first time to-day. IdT Aa many Democrats aa possible should be at the polls this morning, see that the elecUon beards are properly arranged. Important to Turchabers of Dry Goods.—AH persons In want of fine dry goods should be certain that they are buying them at the lowest market value. We call attention to the house of Mesera. Jones, Hess A Davis, No. 3 Odd Fellows Hall, and recommend our readers to call and examine their elegant and extensive stock of fall and winter goods which have been selected with great care and with the Uste on which Meaara. Jones, Hess A Davis have built their reputation for keeping fine and fuhionable goods. Their line of rich goods contain many new and beautiful shades. They have a fine stock of new and elegant cloaks and cloaking cloths which they make a speciality of making up to order. Tbe goods of this house are bought exclusively for cash and sold at the lowest rates. See advertisement In another column.
ISP We call attention to the advertisement in another column of Allra’a Lung Balaam and Perry Davis’ Pain Killer. As for Perry Davis’ Pain Killer, It U so well known that we may only say It is lor ule by all dealers in medicines. Allen’s Lung Balaam la becoming quite u celebrated as tbe Pain Killer, under the management of Messrs. J. N. Harris A Co., of Cincinnati, sole proprietors of both preparations. Tbe Lunx H«i—» *0® Pain v***—, u**s oeen Introduced solely on Its merits, and by recommendations from tbe medical faculty throughout tbs world. We have tested the above named preparations and have always found them fully up to their high reputation. Hotel Accommodations.—To All parties visiting Cincinnati, we recomend them to the Clarendon Hotel located on Walnut street, between Sixth and Seventh. Thla popular hotel Is now conducted by tbe gentlemanly proprietors Messrs. 8. E. Crittendon A Co. With their polite and attentive clerks, their ever watchful steward, who provides their bountiful tables with the best the market affords, and their civil attendants to meet their guests’ every wish makes this house a desirable home to the travell er. Their large elegant and cleanly kept rooms offer great inducements to families. — -—»'<► g—i HOT We direct the attention of all dealers In fine brands of tobacco and cigars to Messrs. S. Lowenthall & Co.’s card In this morning’s paper. Having the advantage of Cincinnati as their market, undoubtedly the best market in the West for tobaccoes, gives them advantages over other manufacturers east and west. Their favorite brands of cigars, called Jsponance, Sam’s Favorites, Peerless, and Free and Easy, are becoming the popular cigars of the day. X3T We call attention to the card In another column of Messrs. Danzlger A Co., of Cincinnati, manufacturers of toilet soap and perfumeries. This house enjoys the reputation of sending out none but the finest quality of goods. Their soaps are put up with great care and much taste, and flavored with the rarest of extracts. Their perfumeries are waved to the notice of thousands on the delicate handkerchief, and their fragrant odors receive the praise of the most fastidious.
Removed.—Messrs. Smith, Blgham A Goodhart, storage and commission merchants, and wholesale and retail dealers in flour, feed, etc., having been forced by an increasing trade to secure more commodious rooms, have removed to the large warehouse lately occupied by Foster, Holloway A Co, southeast corner of Virginia avenue and Delaware street. This firm enjoy the reputation of keeping a superior article of flour for family use, which they deliver free ol charge to any part of the city. See card in another column. Paper Boxes.—All parties wishing paper boxes of any kind, will notice Mr. Charles S. Cheever’s card In another column. Mr. Cheever's manufactory Is No. 228 Main street, Cincinnati. From his long experience In tbe business he Is able to fill all orders at less than they can be found East or West, with all of the improved styles. We recommend Mr. Cheever to the consideration of our merchants. We call the attention of our readers to the Ohio Machine Works, successors to Lee A Leavitt, of Cincinnati It will be seen by reference to tbeir card In another column that they are manufacturers of all kinds of machinery. They have long had the reputation of turning out the best of work, and parties wishing any thing in their line will do well to give them a call, or send for one of their catalogues. UT We call the attention of the public to the card of Hall’s Sale, In another column. In a late test, at Dayton, Ohio, under great heat, from a fire of beach and sugar maple wood. Hall's safe was the successful one of four competitors, Hall’s retaining Its books and papers In perfect condition, while the others were burned up or more or less damaged. Hyatt’s Life Balsam haa a wide world reputation, from Its wonderful cures of rheumatism, neuralgia, gout, dyspepsia, all kinds of eruptions and general debility. We recommend It to the public. See notice In special notice column. 133* Major Gordon made a rousing speech at Mozart Hall last night. He exhorted the people to stand by a white man’s government, and not descend to tbe miserable condition of tbe people of the South American and Mexican States. The Major was particularly severe on the stay at home patriots who patriotically lined their pockets during tbe war, and cried traitor to better men than themselves. He said these men who made fortunes out of the war ought to have been In tbe front rank, and filled the graves of men who were not so cowardly as the treasury thieves. The Major Is tired of radicalism. UESTtJnder radical rule the laboring man gets a dollar and a half for a day’s work, and pays twelve dollars and a half for a barrel of flour. If you want a change, vote the antiradical ticket to-day. t3rM.ru. Merritt, No. 82 North Pennsylvania street, has received Ballou'u Monthly Monotint for November. All the late monthlies can be found at the new* depot of Mrs. Merritt. jafThe workingmen of the country have much at stake in the election of Hogahlre, Jordan and Green. If the ticket la successful it will be the commencement of a better day for a tax-ridden people. Accident.—Joha Centene, aa Italtaa and hard working man, while firing the radical eaaaoala the court houea square, lata night, by a prematorv discharge, had his right arm badly fractured just below the elbow, and the thamb of hto right hand nearly blown off. A Thrilling Incident In tbe mission life of Mrs. Ingalls, in Bnrmah, is well told in the “ Baptist Messenger,” relating bow she was sent for to visit one of the Buddhist high priests, who had been nearly killed; and how, while in the most holy place in their temple, where none but priests had ever before been admitted, she was permitted unrebuked to use fbr him the sacred vessels, which none but the high priests dare touch, and to even overturn and sit on one of their gods to rest; all through the magic influence < f the Fain Killer, called by them the “ God Medicine,” so successfully had she used It ia curing their many diseases, some of them considered heretofore fatal in that climate, among which were cholera, liver complaint, dyspepsia, the bites of venomous reptiles, etc. This speaks volumes for the Pain Killer.—London Times. Bev. J. E. Clough, Missionary at Ongole, Southern India writes: “We esteem your Fain Killer very highly for scorpion stings, cholera, etc., and can not very well get along without it.” Bev. L D. Colburn, Missionary at Tavoy, Burmah, writes: *T shall be happy te am 1st in ex tending knowledge of a remedy so speedy and effectual.”

A Dangerous Season. An almost unparalleled quantity of rain has fUlen during the summer. Vegetation has been wonderfully thick and rank, aad, as it decays, an unusual amount of sickness may be —pected umleas proper means are taken to prevent it. Fever and ague and bilious remittents already prevail to an alarming extent, and as the foil advances and the malarious night fogs become heavier, the sick list is likely to increase both in the city and the country. It is, therefore, only an act of common pradence to keep the vital forces in foil Vigor, so the* they may resist the enbesuny influences of the tessoa. Reinforced by the tonic operation ef HOSTKTTKR’S STOMACH BITTERS, the system, however weak and snaceptlble naturally will, in nine cases out of ten. successfully combat every species of atmospheric poison by which epidemics are produced. During the months of September, October and November the difference in temperature between day and night Is very great, and the chilling dews and mists of the season are the prolific causes of indigestion, cholera morbus, diarrhea, and dysentery. Bearing this in mind, remember, also, that the BITTERS not only Invigorate the stomach and brace the nerves, bat act specifically upon the bowels and the liver, imparting to those important organs regularity and tone. It is not reasonable to expect immunity from prevalent complaints if no precautions are taken to escape them. HOSTKTTKR’S BITTERS are at once pleasant to the taste, and tbe most certain of all safeguards against febrile ailments. oct Ideod Aweowflw
