The following interesting incidents irelated as having occurred preceding the attack upon Fort Cum Daily: On tbe 9th of September, General Lopez sent to tbe allied camp a flag of truce which by some mistake, wa* fired on; it waa repeated next day when a letter waa given to General Metre, commander in chief, propoeing a conference between the two opposing chlefi; this was arranged for the 19th of September. At a given hour end place tire two Generals, who are also both presidents, met, each having a retinue of about twenty officered little distance apart. They dismounted, shook hands and were in council for about a half a day but it is feared, with no definite results as to peace. ffeer the mpermhoe.
