We regret to learn that at Oldenburg and "the region roundabout," considerable opposition ia manifes'ed to the pending railroad appropriation. Tbis arises from a fear that, if the appropriation carries, the road may not pa-is through llaj Township. But our Oldenburg triends shouid remember that the ruuie has not been surveyed as jet, and that uo one knows deGoiiey where the road will be located. We fav,r the appropriation because we believe it will be a good investment, no matter through what part of the County the road roy pass, leaving the question of its Bual location to be subsequently determined. Furthermore, if the Lake Snore, Louisville & Southwestern Kailway is built, there is every reason to believe that the Seymour fc Evaosviile Koad will be constructed also, forming a' connection with the former at or near BrooTivirte, and paaii.g ti. rough Oldenburg, Millhouseo, Ac. A vote iu favor ot the Lake Shore, Louisville Ax Sou hwestern Hallway is a vote in favor of the Seymour & Evansville Road tirst, because from tbe Ohio Slate Line to liiookville the route o. each road is tbe same ; and secouuly, because if the frieuds of the Evausviile route defeat the present appropriation, it win ueveiopa uostiliiy against their road that will most ceitaiu- j ly prevent tbein from obtaining any future aiu in us behalf.
