Agreeably to petition, the Hoard of County Commission? rs met on Wednesday of this week and ordered an election to take place'at the general voting places in Franklin County on Monday the 29th of August next, upon the subject of an appropriation of f 1(0.000, to be taken in stock to aid in the construction of the Lake Shore, Louisville Southwestern Kaitway. There will be a meeting of the Franklin County Republican Central Committee at the Court House in Brookville on Saturday, Aug. 6ih, 18J0, at 2 o'clock P. m., for the transaction of important business, livery member is urgently requested to be present. We believe it to be the general wish of the Republicans of Franklin Courity net to nominate a County Ticket thia year, atid after consultation with many leading men of our party in various parts of the County we lake the liberty of suggesting to the Central Committee the importance of a "masterly inactivity" just at this lime.
