Decease of Hr. Hurkle. The Indianapolis Journal publishes some particulart concerning Mr. Nicholat D. Ruckle, who died in this place on the 4th inst, of consumption, and whose remaino were taken lo Indianapolia for interment. Mr. Ruckle was tho father of Colonel Nicholat R. Ruckle, formerly of the I48tb Regiment of Indiana Volunteers, now tha assistant foreman of the Journal news room, and will be remembered by many of the Journal's readers as a former citizen of Indianapolis, a merchant tailor, and member of Wesley Chapel, and then of Trin ity M. E. Church. Mr. Ruckle was .a man in all that maket up tho true, kind-hearteJ, christian, conscientious man, aud b'u death will bo sincerely regretted by these who enjoyed the pleasure of his personal acquaintance. He wat in his sixty-first year'ao ago which nearly fills op lha measured if an of life, yet thsre are too few such thorough gentlemen and exemplary Christians, aol to make it pleasant lo have tbo allotted term of years extended, when such an one can bo found. The Journal furt'aer says: The remains of Mr. Rucklt have been deposited in the vault in the old grave-yard, but this afternoon they will be !ioll- interred by iho aid of other members of bis family. One by one our old citizens putt away, and ibe place that once knew them knows them no more forever, Vet il it well to etop a moment and honor the memory of such as have hthiud them the record of a well-ipeut life.
