The office is probably to be used by tha Quakers ia tho publication of a religious ptfper. Died. Wm. V. Cheek, one of the oldest citizens of Dearborn County, died recently. Another Old Pioneer Done. Died at tt'e residence of her soo-in-lnw, Gideon Kyman,'in Cincinnati, Ohio, cf inflammatory rheumatism, April 12th, 18G7, Agnes Greer, in her fe8th year. Mrs. Greer emigrated to the Northwestern Territory in 180C. At this early day few adeantages were enjoyed, and many privations were endured. The deceased endured a large share of these privations. She Las been a resident of Ohio and Iudiana ever Since her emigration. From her-infancy she was identified with the Baptist Church, and was a member io full Communion with that denomination for over twenty ye'ärs. She was a consistent, pious woman all ber life, letting her light shine. Her religion gare authority to her conscience This was demonstrated by her humanity and tender regard to the suffering and afflicted. was an affectionate and faithful wife and mother, meeting all her duties and obligations in the fear bf tbe Lord. Her last sickness lasted fourteen days, from wLich she suffered a great deal. She was perfectly in ber right mind, resigned to the will of God, and happy in anticipation of herLome in Leaven. The old pioneers, who labored and toiled to convert the wilderness into fruitful fields and build an , tmpite foi iL coming generations, are passing away. May their children imitate their example and practice their virtues and self-deniaL Mrs. Greif lived for a purpose; this accomplished, she died in pence, rests from ber labors, and ber works follow her. Her children mourn her loss, but not as those without hope. They know that "precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." J. W. K.
