it is no easy matter to teach an old man or women how to milk a cow. The art should be taught to all the children while they aro capable of learning. Tbey should learn in the first place, to treat the oow with kindness, for we know of but few

cows that will be forced to part with ' tboir milk. Let the operator know that no talking is to be permitted in the cow-yard; or milking and talking are two distinct operations, and must ! .
