No young lady can bo too well nstffuoted in anything that will effect the comfort of a family. Whatertr position m society she , may occupy, she needs a pine tical knowledge of the duties of u hoosefcecper. She may be placed in each cwcuoisUuees that it will be unnecessiry for her to perform much domestic labor, but . on this account she needs no less knowledge than if she was obliged personally to preside over the cooking-stove and pantry. Indeed, 1 have often thought it was more difficult to direct others, and requires more experience. than to do the same with your i own hands. Mothers are frequently so nice and particular in their domestic arrangements, that they do not like to give up any part of their care to their children. This is a great mistake, for they are often burdened with labor, and need relief. Children should be early f taught to make themselves use ful to assist their parents in everyway in their power, and consider it a privilege to do 80.
