Specie to that amount was raised, and on F riday last the parties were heard before Commissioner Sullivan. Absence from the city prevented our attendance, bat from brief notes takes by a gentleman who was present, we learn that counsel for Freeman mcved his release on bail, tendering the $5600 as si-cur it y agilust ara.ig-a, and offering to the claimant in addition, a bond in the sum of four thousand dollars signed by a number of our best citizens owning property to the amount of more than a half million of dollars, to indemnify him.
